Thought y'all would like to see how I make my crosses. I use sts to turn the females into males. The part a and b regents have been in my fridge for over 2 years. As long as you keep them out of light and heat they have a long shelf life until you mix them. Then it's only good for about 6 months if kept dark and cold. The ladies I reversed are my blue razzberry fem autos. She is blue cake x razzberry runtz. I Got two phenoes of her. The tall green pheno smells like cherries and grape with some floral mixed in. The lavender pheno smells like razzberry bubblegum. I pulled the green pheno to s1 on her own in favor of lavender. The recipients of her/his pollen are Bruce banner auto, black mamba auto and a cross of strawberry cheesecake and sour livers from a friend. I will add pics of the start of the project but here's pics of the present. The one pic of the plant not flowering is supposed to be gammathon og from night owl but I don't think she's an auto. Anomalies happen so I will try her again later.

Using that method do they self seed like a hermie or do you need to collect the pollen and spread on a separate female plant because the sprayed plant can no longer produce seed?

Since you are spraying autos and there is no flip as such how long do you wait to start spraying them? Do you merely spray the buds, the whole plant or just the leaves? Once, twice a day?

Does pollen development take a similar time, say minimum 3 weeks for it to be viable? Do you dry your pollen the same as bud, just hang the whole flower till she's dry (overly dry)

I spray half the plant once every 5 days. Usually only takes 3 applications. The unsprayed limbs will produce s1 seeds. The sprayed plants were started three weeks before the rest. I give them their first application at first sign of flower. For these I go in the room and give the host plant a good shake. That will pollinate all of them. They will go outside this weekend and spend 5 weeks ripening. I will take the limbs with male flowers and dry them well in a paper bag. Then strain the pollen and store in the freezer in baked rice for later.

I wish I had the space for some breeding/pheno hunting. I would love to give it a try so I'm going to play pretend. Since my blue dream hermed up on me like crazy, some pollen went onto the MAC # 1. So far I only found 5 seeds in the MAC1 and only 4 I'm confident are viable. The 5th might be not it's too white in color even though it's got stripes.
I'm going to take those 5 seeds and plant them to see if I have any females. A blue dream X MAC1 cross is interesting. If I have 5 females then guess what....I guess I'm going pheno hunting during my fall grow. Any females I find, I'll keep. I'll even push back my plans for the fall to do a mini pheno hunt and see how it feels and how much 5 plants can differ from each other.

Just more experimenting and learning. Practice for when I get space in the future and I can really 'branch out' and breed, hunt and cross my own stuff. Not just mistakes.

Yes they will be female but also carry the herm trait. Just keep an eye on them as they will be more prone to herming.

It will surely carry the herm trait but it doesn't mean it will activate each time. I'm pretty sure mine hermed because she was ready to finish, I thought she had a month left so I was feeding her and trying to push her and prevent the fade that started. I never had a blue dream that was ready by day 50ish. I was expecting 70+days oh well. I will be more vigilant. That's also why I reconfigured my tents so I can access everything. Plus, I'm on wheels this time so it's easier.
