Mainlining veg times / height

Hi this is my 1st mainlining trial and I just want to be clear about the vegging stage in the process, when it says to grow the plant 2ft for best results from mainlining this is the final desired height correct. So if I want a plant to grow 2ft I should be switching to 12/12 when shes about 1ft to allow for stretching correct.

2nd question when doing scrog and using mainlining same sort of thing when would you swap to 12/12 i've done scrog before using normal plants and wove the stems through the net until I had a nice even canopy of about 5-6 nodes high would this be the same for mainlined plants or with the better energy distribution would it be ok to let them grow a bit longer?

We have similar goals. I was timid on my second grow and ended up lollipoping my crop. This time I want to optimize light and the flowering stretch. Last time three plants yielded 9.5 oz. Welcome and glad you posted early. Subbed.

On your first question depending on the strain will determine the stretch. Plus with the mainline your training the plant to move outward. So as the plant stretches during the first part of flower you are going to be training her outward. So instead of growing up another foot it's like 6 inches instead. So throw her into flower around 18 inches for those results. just remember that the size of your room and light determines the size of your plant.

You want to take the height of the grow space to know how tall your plant can get before hitting the SUN (light)

In my tent with a water tub I can only go 15 inches so 30 some inches for the whole grow.

In veg when the plant hits (for me) 15 inches tall I go in 12/12 . I veg 24/7 with a T5 light . You can go as long as you want in veg just keep it at the 3 week nutrient level or repeat week 8 for a longer flower time.
