Mainline or not??

I just can't make up my mind. I want to train this plant and I know topping and lst are good but mainlining just seems like the most logical choice. Idk...vote?? Lmk
 
Mainline if you have the time for a couple extra toppings and a little recovery time. My manifold grows add maybe 1-2 weeks extra veg time. Top, LST and Scrog works too and is probably a little faster because there are less toppings.
 
Okay thanks guys. So if I mainline. Can i just do 4 mains instead of 8? I'd really like to do just 2 but would I lose bud?
 
I like to mainline or manifold what ever u want to call it. I have been doing a 4 way thing . Can't remember his name but it's the scrog tutorial on gwe. I've done it the nugbucketts way and nebulas. I like the 4 way . I know it's against the everything coming from one place. Makes it easier for me to fill up my space. Happy gardening
 
Losing yield is the reason, when I grow tomatoes I don't want just a few tomatoes, I want a whole damn bunch of them,
Same way with MJ, I want more than just a few buds, but everyone is different.

Got to ask, how does mainline/manifold cause yield loss? I understand the main goal of manifolding is to keep uniform canopy but is also my understanding this helps yield. Can you elaborate? Not done any growing yet but this is a main part of my planning for veg stage (added time to the calender).
 
He wasn't saying you'd lose yield by mainling. Just mainling and only having 2 or 4 mains vs the typical 8 to 16. 8 is preferred for indoor though. Hope this helps.
 
Yes it does. Thanks much. My plan is to go with the full 8. Didn't think about 16 though. Hehehe. That'd be really great and truly full up the space.
