I'm tying them down with stronger wire hooks stuck into the lecca; so far, it's working pretty well, although leca balls aren't idea for tying down.

What I'm doing differently: extending the manifold. I imagine I'll pinch off to the third node and then top again. Previously, I just went with the first node after the first topping. But I want the mainline longer and more horizontal. Still working on getting more control over the final layout of eight colas per plant. So first topping down, two more to go. No rush.

And on the males we practice Infanticide, whilst the females are fattened for slaughter 4 months later, with their bodies ground into dust and incinerated!!

This is why i always like to pretend to my plants that everything's going to be ok! Lol!

I don't call it bondage, and I don't think of it that way. It is low stress training and you can tell it's low stress by how they bounce right back after clipping and training.

I snapped enough branches off the first two times, so I'm trying different methods this time, but the show's not over yet!!!

Hello there alltatup I have a couple photos I have manifolds on but I'm not doing my normal SOG (2 in my 2x4) so I'm letting them grow out more tops to fill it up a little. I'm a couple weeks (🤞fingers crossed) away from closing on a house and will be moving so I'm just playing around with what's already going until I get setup over there. I've got a 4 x haze crossed with different strains planned in the 4x4 I'm gonna manifold them should be fun, haze usually grows fast.

How great that you're getting a house!!! Congrats on that!

I only use hybrids for mainlining, and it's always a crap shoot anyway on how they're going to grow...

Just flipped one box to flower; plants are around 12" tall:

These plants were in veg for around 50 days, and they were clearly ready to switch; they were chomping at the bit to start flowering. Same girls exactly 2 weeks ago:

What good girls they have been. Very, VERY well-behaved.

Lookin good as always alltatup I'm working on a couple new manifolds I built with 16 mains and a ton of secondary tops from underneath. I flipped em Monday and instead of doing a big defoliation before the flip I'm gonna let em stretch and cut off anything that didn't make it to the top of the canopy. It's an experimental run, I wanted to try some bigger plants instead of my normal SOG style with a bunch of little ones. It's a wait n see 👀 grow, I also wanted to see if the living soil would be enough to grow bigger plants or if the soil would run out of nutrients here's a pic from yesterday maybe day before I can't remember lol

They look fabulous!!! You have a lot of colas making it to the top!! Excellent.

I love a good experiment: that's how we grow as growers!!! I think that before this past year, the real problem was my plants were too short, so it wasn't just traditional topping that wasn't working for me: I wasn't allowing them to veg long enough. Man oh man, I have learned this past year!!!
