hey Madman I just harvested and I had a male that was about the same age as yours ,I chopped it right off but I was to late I got seeds in all of the strains in bloom,so don't be shocked if you do

Thanks for confirming Buds.

OJH, I won't be surprised or upset. This Chrystal plant has been real fun. If you blow up the pics, you can see how crystally she is already. Even some of the fan leaves. I didn't notice til I posted the pictures.

I am 4.5 weeks into flower. Nirvana says 8-10 weeks. What are some advantages to harvesting during the 8th week and advantages of waiting the full 10 weeks. I started flower on 12-17-17.

I ordered a 420 microscope from Amazon. It's like $13. Supposed to enhance trics and check plants for spider mites. Will report back once I try it. I would get it Friday or Saturday.

hey Madman I just finished a grow that had a male in it all the other plants were pollinated so they grew seeds . My point is that they put alot of energy into seeds and not buds so the yield was down,Its still good pot but I know how good it can be .

at 8 weeks the buds were not swollen yet so I let them grow at 10 weeks the buds were still small so I started looking and found the seeds so they all came down that day. If they have seeds I wouldn't wait but if they dont then leave them so they can swell you get a ton of weight and bulk in the last 2 weeks hope that helps

OJH,

Thanks for the info. I am 4.5 weeks into flower. No real buds yet. Leaves around the bud sites are starting to get really frosty. When should I see actually buds? Nirvana says 8-10 weeks of flower. Realistically, I am halfway through flower. Thanks.

Madman

Thanks Dutch. I guess that means I was likely to late removing the males. I will finish out this grow and see what happens.

Madman

"No real buds yet." Even if they were pollinated, you should see buds developing.

One other thing: I switched one of my boxes to 12/12 and didn't see pistils till week 3, so I subtracted those first two weeks from the actual flowering time. Don't know if your situation was like that.

ATU, thanks. I don't recall seeing pistols until week 3. When should I adjust my starting point to? Or would I be at 2.5 weeks?

Madman

Thanks D.A.A.S. I was confused cause they don't really look like buds yet. Figured maybe they got pollinated. I will try to get pictures every couple days. The tops are getting very sugary. It's an amazing site.

My 420 microscope arrived yesterday. It was broken above the pin. It's my 2nd and both were broken at the same spot. I don't recommend buying it.

Hey Mad,It doesn't matter when you calculate flower started, it's the finish that matters. Get your magnifier so you can see whats what. Myself, when I take a look and see a half dozen amber trichs out of 50 or 60 I start my flush. I've found that regardless of what the seed co. says each one of the little darlins march to the beat of a different bongo. They'll let you know when they're ready.

Those are buds, they are just not developed yet. They will fatten up for you nicely. They look like thewre coming along nicely.

Thanks Dutchman..

pictures from yesterday.

Happy growing.
