Lowes bulbs

Has anyone used the mh hps bulbs from Lowes? The mh looks to big

I had a buddy buy one in a pinch. His burned out at like 9 pm on a Saturday. Lowes was open til 10 so he bought one. It was trash. They are for street lights.
