HYDRO Lower leaves turning yellow + drooping?

Hey,

I've been growing my plants just beside my window and it's been growing well but slow, and so I decided to place it in my space bucket. The LED I am using claims to draw 300W of power, but anyway ever since I placed my plants under the lights they haven't been growing at all with the color of the leaves changing yellow.

I did a search on this website and it said that having the lights a few centimetres away may cause the lower leaves to be yellow - making it harder to identify as light burn. I would just like someone with good experience to confirm all of this.

Furthermore, there are brown burnt tips on some of the leaves, I think that's nutrient burn - feeding too many nutrients.

Probably been about 4 weeks and it's grown this much which isn't impressive but I am growing using the Kratky method too.

Both plants were grown under the same light, one is drooping (Plant1) but other is okay with discoloration but has better root development (Plant2)

you using CalMag supplement or a sprinkling of epsom salts?

Thanks for getting back to me, appreciate it.

I've had a look and feel like it could be both nitrogen and magnesium deficiency (may explain the wilting), despite the plant having nute burn on the leaf tips. I may raise to pH to 6.00 and see if that helps with magnesium absorption, otherwise not sure what else I can do other then see them die

Also, I'm using General Hydroponics Flora Series, I feel like this should have nutrients to support the plant.

Hydro needs to fluctuate PH between 5.5 - 6.5. If it is kept the same and doesn’t fluctuate, you will see issues.

Hey Toker1,

Thanks for the advice, I usually just keep the pH at the same level but I guess different nutrients are absorbed at different pH's. I'll start to fluctuate it a bit more now, thanks a lot!

Your roots might need some more oxygen...???

I think oxygen was an issue, that plant has now dried up and died. Sadly the main root had died which I'm not sure how
