Looking to drop soil ph slightly

My soil at the roots is testing 6.8-7. City water is 7.25. Using Fox Farms GB & BB at 1/2 thier recommended strength. I think I am seeing indications that I may need to drop the soil ph slightly. I have available garden sulfur that is used for hydrangeas as an acidifier to keep them blue. Lemon juice, vinegar are acids. I am not wanting to go overboard and am seeking guidance to know if there is a general rule of thumb of like "a teaspoon of lemon juice per gallon of water" or something like that. I don't want to go too weak and waste my time or too strong and kill things. Any help would be kindly appreceated.

If the sulfur is powdered be careful with it, even if its pelleted dont use much. For the acids you PH the water to about 6.5 (let it set for 12 hours and test again) then read the runoff.

Thanks for the info. I will let some water sit out, mix a small amount of sulfur in it and test it until it gets to 6.5 and go from there.

Sulfur is very slow acting, it takes sulfur water O2 and time to create sulfuric acid which is what gives the PH down.

I am / was having the same issue but 1 plant really was taking it hard until I amended the soil with aluminum sulfate (i think that what it is) it is mixed with water then pored over the plant. The directions say give it another soak in 2 to 3 weeks..It is fast acting and I do think it helps. My sick girl is showing an improvement or she just powered through...4 nodes on the plant. I suspect a larger plant will be a little more resilient to ph then a smaller plant
