Long time toker first time grower

This is my first grow, I started with 4 regular Strawberry Blonde seeds and I'm down to 2 plants that are on Day 26. I also started a fem Dutch Dragon just to make sure the grow didn't end up flowerless, that one is on day 7. Running an AP P600 in a 4x4 GG Tent using FFOF soil. Temps are in the range of 76-78F during the day and 69-71 at night. Humidity is hovering between 50-60%. Water has been PH adjusted to 6.2-6.8. I started noticing some curling up at the very tips about a week ago, seems to be a common symptom of overheating but my temps have been well controlled the entire grow. The P600 was sitting at about 24 inches. I started thinking the light intensity might be too high so I picked up a PAR meter and raised the light up until my plant tops hit 400 (raised it up about a foot) which seems to be having a positive effect. I also just gave the girls a little taste of FF Grow Big. I only fed 5ml in 1gal to see how they like it.

I think these plants are looking pretty good now but being my first grow I don't know what I don't know. It would calm my paranoia about the leaves turning up if someone could give me a thumbs up or down. Any feed back is very welcome and much appreciated. Also, anyone think there is a chance at determining gender at this point?

To early to sex yeat,plants look fine to me don't over water and try to keep ph at 6.5 soil looks good,your on your way. Luck
 
Welcome! and those plants look great.

I too am in my first grow, and I have learned a lot of what I don't know, but mostly that there's much much more to learn. But it's the learning new stuff that makes this so much fun. Especially when you learn it from the great minds here.
 
Thank you all very much , I appreciate the feedback. They were def curling up a little more before raising the light up, I don't think I know the power of that LED.

Yes, that's exactly where you'll see the first pistils or pre-flowers emerge, or if it's a male, the pollen sacs. See this article:

I had firsthand experience during my current grow: one of my girls was a guy, and sure enough, little balls were emerging where the other plants were putting out preflower pistils!!!!!
 
Yeah i saw that preflower article which is what made me believe they were girls.... the Stipules are crossing. I'll see if I can get a better close up over the next few days. Thanks for the advice.

Well if at first you don't sucseed, plant another one. Are these any better for gender id? My guess would be girl on the left and boy on the right....

Wow, db, great pics!!! I agree with your assessment. I'm going to be planting some Jack Herer regular seeds in the near future, and this is very helpful to me. You didn't do these pics from a cell phone, huh...
 
I picked up a cell phone clip-on camera at a local hydro shop. https://www.hydrofarm.com/p/AEM60C

Its a little tricky to to use but you can catch a pretty good shot with a steady hand and some patience. Do you think it's a safe bet to remove the male at this point? Kinda sad after 6 weeks, I've grown attached to both plants.
 
If you leave him in there, you'll end up with seeds--not big, fat buds. It broke my heart to take out my Green Crack man plant, but I did it for my girls.

Decided to wait and watch a little longer and now I'm second guessing myself. Here are two new shots, these are looking very pointy, maybe a girl after all? If nothing else I think I'm getting a pretty heavy dose of patience. I keep having to remind myself that the plants are moving much slower than I.

Well, db, the plot thickens!! I didn't mean to rush you as far as removing this plant. My fella was farther along when I took him out, and had clear pollen sacs all over the place.
This is a fascinating process, and btw thanks for the link to the universal phone clip on microscope; I ordered one for $9!!! Awesome gadget!
