Added tomato cages for LST spacing and some support. Kind of just something I wanted to try. Anyone done something like this? My only worry is that the aurora indicas are going to be too short for a great manifold but I’ll see how the yield turns out.

I am a tomato cage fence sitter... I came so close to buying them. Then I built a prototype out of hangers and bamboo - and ended up not using it. I ended up using tent stakes, hangers, and bamboo. I regretted not having tomato cages for awhile. I have been thinking about getting them for the next grow... But now as I see yours and think about it again I am kind of glad they aren't there at this point. Hmmm
I do think they make training easier. And that probably more than compensates for their inconvenience later on.

Watering at this point is already weird cause of the leaves latmying everywhere. I considered taking a couple of the big fan leaves off today. Wasn’t really sure if it was a good idea. And st least the AI’s I don’t think I’ll have much to lollipop as they don’t stretch much. We’ll see, I figured now was a good time to try something funky and see how it yields as 6 plants at once is more than I intend on doing regularly.

I am very much on the fence about this too. Should I pop 4 or 6 seeds next week... I will go back and forth up until I pull the trigger

This was supposed to be a 4 plant grow. Then two were slower to pop (by a day lol) and I had this coco the guy at the grow shop gave me. Then it was going to be 4 in soil 2 in coco, then I realized that was kind of a pain in the ass. Now I have 6 in soil. But I decided to stagger the watering a bit, so I’ll be doing the main tent wateringery on separate days than the little tent. From what I’ve read the GSC and WW like a bit more nutrients than the AI so we’ll see how that works. Anyways... I’m sure the tomato cages won’t be horrible might not be the best move for a short plant like the AI as she might not hit two feet being so spread.

No, I think a lot of growers use tomato cages (NugBuckets original Mainline method calls for them). They are only minor inconveniences when watering, which is a pain for me now, so I am sensitive to that... Have you considered what I have to go through to water the Skywalkers hiding behind my GG4s...

Oh yea does your tent not have side windows? I actually when watering take the plants out of the tent (concrete basement floor). I underestimated the size of the 5 gallon pots and that’s going to be a bit more of a pain but I like to set them under the fluorescent on/by the pool table to check them out when I water.

I’ve also looked into some automated watering systems but I’m pretty sure I’d need to get an RO filter first as the iron in my water would clog that for sure.

My tent has side windows, but using one of them requires climbing into my closet and using the other requires moving furniture!
I try not to move them too much, which is easy now since I have pretty much built them into place. Because of my bench, I couldn't remove a single plant now even if I wanted to. Well, not without chopping the bench or the plant!

Did you say tomato cages, Lst, manifolding, suppercrpping, Coco, Aurora indica, and cannabis?

I cut the bottoms off for a 1 low ring and 1 high ring cage and retain the 4 legs, fits with a stretch in a 5gl. Fabric pot. Depending on your phenotype that shows up should be all you need for finished height in a standard tent.

Flipped at the point I had my square inch to growth tip balance and could no long contain it on the bottom ring.
Did I mention level and 1/3 finished height to the top ring

Ah yea that is why I don’t like the idea of a ScrOG. I want to move them if I want to, might not be the best idea but trying to get in there and water I’m probably more likely to do some damage

I’m liking the look I was planning on using twist ties and a bamboo stake or 6 to train there to grow up once they get outside. And some regular silica feeding.

Gave the girls a hair cut and some more bending. The AI’s got some water with a little silica, waiting for them to use up what’s in the soil before I give them anymore nutes. 6.4 ph and 200 tds in, 6.8 out at 1180 out and 6.9 at 1754 out. Wondering if I should hit them a little lower ph next time, or if that’ll level out as the soil nutes come out. By any means I think they are looking happy and healthy. Here they are post defoliation and a stem pick cause I took one.

7 hours after defoliation last night the girls were smiling at the sun and it looked like the growth tips I exposed exploded with new growth. I’m sold. I actually removed a few more on some of the smaller plants as what I had removed made a big enough difference on the newer growth that the leaves I was debating on could for sure go. Aiming for flipping to 12/12 around March 1st
