Locrian99s 2nd grow

Things that are easy are boring!
I am ready to see em! Are you checking Trichomes too or just watching the pistils?
Deciding to harvest is an emotional decision.

I scoped it last week saw no amber, I’m going by trichromes. It is, that and I really want the room in that tent.

Campesino I just added the GG#4 pics into the post there rather than make a new one. Can't add pics in comments apparently. They are looking cloudy, not seeing any amber, today is day 67. I think it's probably good for the THC level but not really going to give the couch lock effect, I'm debating, I'll look again tomorrow night but doubt I'll see a big change in a day and I suck at trying to take pictures with microscope wife was helping and those are the best of like 10 lol.

Beautiful!
Looks like they are getting there. Some still look pretty clear though... I'd probably hold off a little, but I know your anxious to clear her out of there.
Well done in any event. Beautiful buds. I am very much looking forward to seeing my girls look like that!

My friend I got the clones from is coming over to play pool Friday. He’s been growing this strain awhile and mj for 20 years about I’ll get his thoughts and go from there.

Perfect. A second opinion with actual eyes on the prize will be best.
It is going to be awesome bud - worth doing right.

Campesino well they are still standing, earliest to take them down will Be tomorrow night but I won’t be surprised if they stay up until Wednesday (74 days) or even next Friday. Buddy brought some of his GG#4 up we were smoking that last night. Tastes just like my plants smell def fuel taste/smell. Not the best tasting but it gets the job done for sure.

Too bad about the taste. I haven't picked up any diesel/fuel scent yet - and hadn't heard that about GG4. I'll keep a nose out for it!
Sounds like your buddy advised a few more days... The best things come to those who wait!

I’m more a fan of the fruity tasting strains so could just be a preference. Tangie is one of my favorites soon as Seedsman gets the Reserva privada strain back in I’m ordering the feminized version I’ll probably keep a mother for that one

Just curious on getting a couple opinions on whether to go 6 plants in my 4x4 or do 4 in there and 2 in the 32”x32”.
48”x48”x80” tent info
600 watt mh/hps
sun system magnum xxxl 8in reflector
5 gallon smart pots (12 inch diameter, 9.5 inches tall)
6 inch exhaust fan (using a reducer) don’t know cfm off hand but it’s way more than needed
clip fan for canopy, oscillating fan under canopy

32”x32”x63” tent info
viparspectra PAR 450
would also be 5 galling

so I’m running nebulas manifold tutorial on the 6 plants, will be adding tomato cages (if I can’t find tomato cages to fit my needs I’ll make something out of bamboo stakes and bailing twine) to assist in training main colas trained up with side branches lst’d To fill in middle. I’m thinking I can make better use of my lighting this way, and keep the colas spaced a bit better. Planning on a 6-8 week veg just depending on how the plants are looking at 6 weeks. Figure if I can flower all under the one light it makes sense but I’m a bit concerned with over crowding in there. As I said just curious on opinions I know it’s possible not sure how ideal it will be, I’m sure yields/plant will be better with the 4 and two set up. Strains are what I’ve been posting in here 2 GSC, 2 Wonder Woman, 2 Aurora Indica (these would stay in small tent, as they are shorter). Thanks

Well, I know you've seen my six manifolds in a 4x4, and I am not using the first foot, so really 4x3.
In my case, I am pretty sure that I will yield more quality Colas with 6 plants than I would have with 4, but I don't have other space. If I had room to move two of them to elsewhere and continue flowering them, it would absolutely increase my yield total. So I guess what I am saying is, I think 6 plants is potentially better than 4 in one tent. But 6 plants spread out in two tents is probably better for total yield than all together in one. You have to decide if you want to maximize harvest for the tent overall (put six together) or for each plant (give each girl plenty of space)!
I go back and forth with whether I will do 4 or 6 in my next run. Guess I will wait and see how my harvest turns out!

Yeah I guess that is what it comes down to yield/plant vs efficiency of electricity and space used. I’m thinking I could do a couple autos in the other tent if I did the 6. Just having a tough time deciding how I want to do this, been debating for a couple days and I’m at the same point I was then lol. Other than I did order my autos from Seedsman.

Well, the one thing I can tell you with a fair degree of confidence is that you CAN grow 6 manifolds in a 4x4 tent. It has been fun!

Somewhat. If you use soil, probably not as much. With coco, I put a lot of water into each fabric pot everyday. Just having 2 extra wet fabric pots will hike humidity somewhat - but less with soil than coco. The other factor is transpiration. That is really affected by how many leaves you have in the tent, regardless of how many plants. I have to change my humidity management practices after defoliation for example. As plants get bigger, transpiration seems to be the much bigger factor.
So having 6 rather than 4, likely will raise H% early in veg, but not be as significant later on (depending on how you defoliate).

After last night's defoliation, it has been tough to keep humidity up today. I have had to close up my office which is where the tent both vents and draws air. Outdoor humidity is 9%. Office is now 28%. Tent is right at 40% (lights off). I'd have to use a humidifier to raise it higher. Before the defoliation, I had to always leave the door open or window cracked or H% would go over 50%
Good news is I shouldn't have a problem dropping humidity to the low 20s during late flower.
Curious for your feedback on my defoliation... Even if it's "holy crap you probably killed your plants" ...LOL

Update on the girls today. Continued with the manifold topped at the third node off the third node both of the aurora indicas, and GSC1, Wonder Woman 1 I probably could have but decided to give her another day or two. There’s a little bit of what might be nutrient burn on one of the AI’s the And I feel the Wonder Woman 1 leaves look a little “crinkly” just going to keep an eye on stuff for now. Still plenty of veg time. They were watered today with 1/3rd strength of the week 2 fox farms nutes. Plus 1/3rd strength of raw silica and I have them 1/3rd strength cal mag. Ph was 6.2 going in (little lower than I meant to go but already had everything mixed and oops. TDS was 550. Ph coming out was between 6.7 and 6.9 depending on the plant. What surprised me though was the variance of the tds coming out anywhere from 1190 to 2885 most were between 1750 and 2300. Here’s some pics oh and some odd markings on the AI that has the possible nute burn.
