Lighting ??

so I’ve noticed that some people have their plants lifted on buckets, and their lights are super high, and some have them on the ground and their lights are adjusted as necessary. my question is does it matter whether you have your plans at the top or the bottom of the tent? Does that change the reflectivity of the walls? Does affect the overall light in general or does it only matter about the DLI and PPF as long as your maintaining?

Mine were up on chocks so the drainage worked.

I ran out of height with the lights in a 7'6" high room...redesigned it and rebuilt it.

Fella i don't grow by DLI or PPF Which is the reason years back i began using GWE for help with my indoor tent. I learned very very old school outdoor growing till I learned about LED. I bought a tent and a good set of lights then upgraded lights. I'm much older than many here nowdays, i don't like to use those pullys they send to move the lights up an down. I use blocks to raise my plants up closer and as they grow upward i lower the amount of blocks. The light stays as high in the tent as possible i never move it. I pull my plants out of the tent so i can thoroughly inspect them and train them. I grow in no larger than 5 gal pots. The plan is and always will be to keep growing " simply" not to complecate it .

Honestly, at least for me, it's more complicated to have to move plants up and down on risers versus pulling on a rope ratchet. For me, because I SCROG, having even PPFD across the canopy is key to a bountiful harvest. It also makes it easier in dry and cure as I don't have to separate the big flowers from the smaller ones when I'm drying. I get pretty even sized flowers across the canopy.

I never bothered with ratchets so I use the "pile crap under plants as needed" method too.

Well it's not a issue for me Rootsruler oh i've put a net 1x up did'nt care for it. I super crop or manifold low if needed but i like them colas to stackup. I love taking them to the bathtub and talking to them whilst i give them big drinks and tidy them up, shift them in the tent. Oh i can get same size nugs top to bottom too but i usually trim the lower portion on my photos lollipop them.

Beautiful! I have a couple of 2 x 2's I use for mothers and as a tester/quarantine tent. I have a few extra clones that I'm gonna veg a little and let them grow naturally in one of the 2 x 2's instead of netting them. Hopefully they come out as nice as yours!!!

Thats some heavy duty trunks on them girls. I like em thick! Aint going to be a problem holding them corncobs up. LOL
