Lighting Question

Hi All, How come when you are growing in an indoor grow tent they say the lighting schedule can be like 24hrs on, 18 &6, ,and so on; and when its outdoors, its really only going to get 10hrs daily give or take and only half that in direct sunlight and when indoors its on more then its off? Thanks as Im a bit confused at the difference, thanks..

You can’t duplicate the sun. A few hours of direct sun light outside is still way more light than a indoor grow light can provide in 24hrs.

If you take a plant that’s been grown indoors and set it outside in direct light without slowly introducing it first the sun will burn it up in no time
