Light limit?

I have a viparspectra 450 in a 3x3 tent, plants in soil. I've done a couple of grows and they were great but would like denser buds and stronger growth. Would putting another 450 in there be too much? Is there any chart or guideline for optimum wattage per square feet?

You have 9 sq ft of area you're trying to illuminate. Fixtures like your vipar use older tech, inefficient diodes that will need at least 40w/sq ft of actual power consumption to get good light levels. Your fixture uses 200w so you will need a second unit to get enough wattage.

I dealt with that issue last time and rather than spending money on duplicating rapidly changing technology. Maybe it pays to look into some of the newer led systems, striplights and others. I am much more pleased this time but still needs some of the variables ironed out. Some nice full spectrum leds out there
