Light intensity towards the end

Hi there, thank you for having me here this is the very first forum I join but it’s far away from being my first grow...

few fellow growers been insisting that lowering light intensity at the last week of flowering will affect end product on quality & weight...
some guys are dimmming their 600w hps to 250w in the last week or 10 days & they swear by it...
I would appreciate some beneficial input towards the subject. Thanks 🙏

I don't know about raising and lowering the lights for your quality other than possibly burning your plants but I know that if you drop out the humidity on those last couple weeks trichome production goes way up
