Light distance

Hi guys.. My 5 big bang auto have gone into flower.. My 600w Hps is 26 inch away from tallest plant. What distance do you recommend? This is one of the plants.. Whats ya thought? Looks droopy due to being rest period. Also should I pluck more leaves or shall I leave them be?

Off topic but my plants look to close to the same stage. Are you concerned at all with the leaves drooping? I posted a thread earlier with plants that look the same asking if I should be worried about the drooping

I find my plants will droop if need watering, at the end of the light stint and on the rest period.. When's the light is on they're happy.
