Light distance sweet spot

What’s your light and optimal distance for flowering? At what height have you noticed light burn?

I use vipar v450 (200w) led and they are 16-17” from top of plants. 5 weeks into flower and no light burn so far. Leaves and buds look healthy, pistils still white and pointing up.

Looking for that sweet spot!

Well i've not done a consistent 16" i've gone 18" no issues with the strains i've grown just some i hear are more sensitive to being that close. I rotate them around every 2 days under middle of lamps. Doing it now with my GSC photos got 3 in flower.

Thanks bud gal, I rotate weekly and am keeping an eye on the colas nearest to the light. No bleaching so far.

Those sound like good heights and similar to what I used with the Viparspectra 300. I was tempted to move them closer, but as you do, your corners are getting less light due to the closeness to the canopy. So there is a sweet spot and your height sounds good.

Hlg 550 v2 rspec is at like 24in from tops of flowering plant and 32in from veggin tops.
I have a little light burn on the flowering. I contacted the hlg company directly and they said for my light...

"Seedlings at 38 from the canopy 10 percent power
Veg at 32 inches from the canopy at 50 percent power
In flower adjust the light to 100 percent as the plants adjust to the added intensity. At 18 to 24 inches from the canopy."

Still seems almost to much at 50% given the GG has very very little burn tips that I dont thinks from nutes.
