I'm looking at 10 years on GrowWeedEasy and my original goal (2016) was -

"On a quest making it less complicated/expensive, as far as, the work/reward ratio."

The Set up:

strain: Tangie Auto - Fast buds via Seedsman (2025).

STONINGTON BLEND (bottom 1/2) with Roots Organic Original mixed in and top layer (1/3).
direct plant method (signature germbag) into 5 gallon vivosun fabric pot. (3 seeds)

TAP water- as needed- leave out for 2 days before use
Light nutrients (liquid) -watered in weekly- as/if appropriate

lights: Optic 1XL and RapidLED 100w in the tent (height @ 33" above the container surface).

4x2x6 tent : seed planted 3/14/2026

Medical Cannabis Patient with mobility issues and the weight of the containers, etc. is becoming an issue for this 73 year old.

If I can complete a grow with out moving the plants/lights etc.- it will be helpful going forward.

A culmination/continuation of previous grows, that began in 2021:

I will upload a pic once the seeds emerge and @ various stages of this grow.

Wow, 10 year veteran of the forum! 🏆

What are some big lessons in growing weed, between all your grows and all the grows you've seen here?

First issue- I usually rotate my plants, but not this time.

Plant #1 closest to fans at soil top level, not doing as well. Darker Green, bending stem etc. (likely from direct fan)- transpiring more= more nutrients absorbed.
IMG_0692.jpg

Plant #2 doing well leaning towards RapidLED light (over Plant #3)-good structure at day # 10 above ground.
IMG_0694.jpg

Plant #3 slight taco, but otherwise growing near perfect.
IMG_0693.jpg

Actions taken-

Shut off soil level fans and started whole tent fan- located at top of tent on low.

Moved the OpticXL (over plant #1) down @31" -as it is not as strong as RapidLED @33".

READ the PLANTS- not a schedule!

Topping Time- Plants #2&3 ready;
Plant #1 was not ready-(may end up a FIM- not much room to work with)-done

Plant #1 recovered in about 2 days from first issue- and continues to lag development by about the same.

Days are usually lost forever with autoflowers as there is little room for error with such a short veg time.

Plants #2 & 3- look good with #3 outstanding.

I top dressed with Stonnington Blend with Mykos mixed in.

They are ahead of what I expect by about 5-7days and seem to be shorter than I recall.
If that continues - the lights will have to be dropped for flower, but I won't know until the stretch ends.
Initial light height @33 was based on TangiMatic grows.

Previous grows were TangiMatic by FastBuds- these are Tangi Auto by Fastbuds.

Stretch should begin in 7-10 days and last the same amount of time.

All plants are looking healthy in color and structure.

Watering is about every 2-3 days, with increasing volume at each time.
Low dose of cal/mag given with each pHed @ 6.2, watering- (previous cal/mag issue with Roots Original)

Will post towards the end of stretch @ about 3 weeks.

Plants look beautiful like a painting.

Also, this is the best MacGyver DIY watering system I've ever seen. That looks really convenient.

Thanks, the tent is on a 2ft high table- which allows me to water/work plants, without bending down- preserving my back, etc.
*simple but effective watering*
(they exploded with growth right after topping)

That was quick - Lolipop and light defoliation. All plants have remained in the their original locations- not needed to move them.
Drinking well- just added a little Bloom, but not sure it was required.

The stretch is likely done and 2 plants are just right for the set light hight @ 33"- with the middle plant (#2) looking the most productive, having overlap lighting.

I will continue weekly Cal/mag and bloom nutrients along with a dose of micronutrients in 2 weeks.

This grow was noticably not stressed at all (except the early fan issue on runty plant #1).

All that is left is - the waiting for the buds to form/mature.

With Autoflowers its all about having an uneventful vegative stage- and looks like that has been the case @35 days topside = 5 weeks into the grow.

Random thoughts:

Usually I would have moved the runt up 3" higher- to create an even canopy across all lights-
The PPFD map from the OpticalXL light indicates 18-24" for flower- currently @ 16.5"= aggregate PPFD @ 549. per manufacturer.

See above pic for CO2 = 553 PPM:
A rough guide is that a PPFD above the CO2 PPM is wasted and may heat/light stress the plants.

RapidLED- is close to my usual height in flower- I will not be moving it closer during the last 2 weeks. (still at 33" above soil, set initially).

First time watering consistantly @ 1-2 hours after "lights on".

I had some fungus on a few leaves- "spots with yellow rings" - (water splash?) -clipped affected leaves.

I put yellow sticky paper to check for bugs- prior to flower- as those issues should be resolved before the buds appear.
I haven't had pest problems since I started this grow style, so I purchased the stickly papers to confirm-no bugs.

Cost breakdown:
Seeds (3) 46.56
Soil/Mykos 61.51
Cal/Mag 3.50
Protekt (pH) 2.25
3 m power 135.00 est

grow total $248.83/3 plants = $82.94 per plant (USD)

**Wounded- self inflicted **

They continue to gain height; so I raised the light by "2" mid week @35" from soil- The 2 sprouts from the topping outpaced the rest of the plant.
I also lolipop a little more; as the light will only penetrate enough for flower @ 24" down.

A quick LST on just those tops should help- very light tug- looked good on the dry run- then snap as I secured a tie to the pot handle.

Totally operator error, as I know, I cut the 5th node early (should let it grow 3/8-1/2" or so) but it's so close to the flowering stretch phase- and YES -I Break one in every grow- as the branches have hardened.

My signature Duct Tape repair- which has worked every time- so far.

Overall, the grow is going great approaching the half way mark!

Just starting to stack.

Watering on M-W-F @ 2.5-3.0 liters.

And then there was TWO.
Moved the tent a week ago and the runt was sporting amber- so it's hanging in the drying tent. I don't expect much from that plant.

IMG_0749.jpg

The remaining plants are doing just fine- drinking well and in senescence having clear and cloudy trichomes- no amber
It's all over except the waiting, lol
Likely ready in a week or ten days.

This grow is so easy, I actually forgot to water them last evening and woke from a sound sleep at 3AM to give them pHed water.
