Sheesh, I grew up in United Kingdom, specifically northern England and my schooling was Grammar school, military cadet force, cross country running, professors as teachers in mortar caps and gowns, yes we were caned if we misbehaved, in the 80’s Britain had a lot to deal with, we were going through virtual anarchy, we were at war in our homelands and Argentina invaded our sovereign territory in the south Atlantic, no one thought we had the balls to do anything about it. Nor the ability. I ended up in Northern Ireland fighting a cause to defend democracy against those who would seek to destroy it and replace it with militia rule.
I emigrated to United States after 911 I served the United States as a civilian instructional officer at fort Jackson South Carolina and I fell in love. With the people of this country, I don’t use metric because I refuse to follow the federalist European Franco/Germanic fascism of an unelected European Parliament,
Like many before who came to these shores to escape religious or political persecution, I came for love for liberty and to make a dream come true, something those Europeans seem to resent.
To this day when I speak to abrit and they know I live in United States they treat me like I am not worth talking to...
All I can say to them is this, good luck with your road gradients being signed as 25% or 1..2.45 of a kilo. I use what I want to, no one should tell me different. I use what this country uses, I speak their language, I am their family. The old country.. sorry losers to me
