Hahaha. Bubblicious hybrid. I've had much success on keeping it simple!! Miracle-Gro vegetable non time release Special Blend and black magic. I switch to a blooming formula that I've put together that I found to be successful.

I have bit of a gnat problem. I put the sand down that way they can't lay their eggs plus it keeps the medium very moist and it looks😎

how will the medium dry out...

There is a product called gnatt nix...use it same way but won't suffocate your plant which I am afraid you might do...possibly

You want your medium to dry out inbetween watering or feeding....let's those roots grow more and won't get root rot....

I try to stick to what works I'm not afraid of root rot because of good drainage. I don't believe that you could ever ever ever overwater a plant. Letting the medium dry out vs. Keeping it moist?? Well I guess that depends on the grower 😊
