LED'S I am confused

I haven't bought the 4 x 8 tent yet. I have a room in my house. i can use 5 x 8 with 9 foot ceiling. 40 sq ft. I really need to grow at least 1.5 to 2 pound per grow. is this doable growing high yield autos using LST. seed .supplier says 450 to 550 g per sq meter.per plant. I know this figure is under perfect conditions
I really do thank everyone for input..

Hey Poppy, some folks get 3-6 ozs a plant if they are heathy, maybe a little more sometimes , some plants grow big some don't, regardless what the seed banks say.
I ain't good at figuring, say you average 4 ozs. a plant ,6 plants would get you 24 ozs., . Reckon that would be enough?

I think 315 W CMH fixtures are suited for 3' x 3' spaces, I'd go with 2 - 630 CMH DE. Fairly cheap, probably around $500 USD for the pair. They'll be a little overkill but I'd rather have too much spread than too little.

If you want to stick with LEDs, I would get 2 - PLC6 units from Pacific Light Concepts. They retail for $799 but I believe they are a much better µmol/$.

Yea I have to agree with primo and dass. I run 2-tents 1 with a 315 lec the other with 3 v300 viperspectra I am useing less watts with the 315 and get much better coverage

the thing that I do not understand is with LED is the coverage area. they say for ex. veg = 400-500 par and flower = 600 - 700 par and the only par value with in lets say a 3 x 3 veg is in the center 1 ft sq or 2 ft sq when yo reach the 3 ft sq its not even close . To me if optimum par fall 400 - 700 then the entire veg area should be 400 like wise fo flower 700. I may be missing something or eat up with dumb ass. here is another . they say .5 gram per watt(LED) for smoke. so if you had a 500(true watt) led then you should get 250 grams that is 8.9 oz. hope i am making since been up all night looking for a wounded deer. found him. I am looking hard int the 315 lec. thanks

That's why I suggested the 315cmh, you want have to worry about PAR, or anything, it's so bright it will hurt your neighbors eyes.

Ur better off starting small and working ur way up to a bigger garden I'm starting with my little 3x3 or so and eventually i plan on using half my basement and big aas tents with good lights bit the end it'll be ur decision what u feel will be best for u Once im more experience I'll build my perpetual harvest set up and harvest every month

How are those platinum i am honestly think on going with a sk400 spectrum king light for my flower tent and keepin my vipars for my veg when i start my perpetual harvest

So far so good Jr83. I got em on ebay used cheap ( well $160 apiece) They have veg and bloom switch which i like. They have a 5 year warranty. Mars hydro in the middle for a little more red in flower. I put in a 300 watt viparspectra in the middle during veg.

I realized pretty quickly the viparspectra are great for veg but a little weak in the flower area. They have alot of blue but not so much in the red spectrum. But Ive seen great results from people using them all the way from start to finish. Great inexpensive alternative to all the expensive lights out there. Great starter light.
