LED vegetative vs. bloom setting or both after flip to 12/12

Hi I've been messing around growing for a few years. Last year I was having a poor grow and a friend made me switch to coco and general hydroponics trio plus calimagic. I've got two Viarspectra 600 lights, last year I ran them with the full intensity both veg and bloom turned on and I probably kept them too close, I had my best yields yet 11.2ozs from 5 plants. I somehow had info from a variety of sources last year advising keep lints as intense as possible and if not causing burn as close as possible.I did that and somehow it worked pretty well. This year I've 5 plants again but a week or two ago I thought there may have been a light burn issue, I had just signed up for the GWE newsletter and my first issue is the article about strength of LED lights, fantastic, so I raise them and excellent response from the plants. I just flipped to 12/12 now my question is should I keep the lights switched to both the veg and bloom settings on or should I only run on the bloom setting? With last years fine showing I thought I knew it all but now it turns out I don't. I've enjoyed my bit of participation on the forum and now I'm enjoying the newsletter and hell for fifty years or so I've enjoyed cannabis so I want to Rock!

I use a different brand of LED but both VEG and FLOWER switches should be on in flower. Viparspectra's website should be able to help with recommended spacing. Usually you'll need at least 18 inches between your light and the top of the canopy.

Thanks for your reply. I did look at the Viparspectra recommendations for these lights and they say run with both on for flowering stages. I'm going to keep them about 24 inches above top of canopy or maybe a little more if I can control height of the plants enough. Good luck to you.
