I grew my first plant and have alot of leaves. I dried them and want to make oil for future cooking. Your help is appreciated.

Hi Mike, and welcome to the forum!
First, make sure your leaves are at least mostly what's called "sugar leaves" the smaller ones closest to the buds, they will have glittery stuff on them, which are the " Trichomes, or resin glands, where most of the Cannabinoids that you want to end up in your oil, are located ( the "Sugar"). All the big fan leaves, and smaller ones without any Sugar on them, most growers toss in the compost, cause they don't have much in them.
Next, you have many options, and some depend on what you would like to do with the oil. My extraction skills so far, are just for making edibles, so I will give you my recipe: crush up one ounce of the sugar leaves, or "trim", and ad it to a cup or two of water, and about a pounds worth of coconut oil. Put it in the crock pot on warm for about 24 hrs. Them strain it through cheese cloth or a towel, pour it into a glass bowl, and put it into the fridge, then lift off the block of oil once it's cooled.
