This is my first grow I am learning lst though I will say it's nerve racking. Anyways I'm using 4x 105 watt cfl (not sure what its equivalent wattage but has to be high). Grow tent is 5x2.5x2.5. I am using a 3 galling bucket with fox farm nutrients and soil. I've learned a crazy amount since joining this forum and unfortunately if I'd known about it sooner I wouldn't be using plastic buckets!
I only have one more week of veg in my grow cycle could you guys give me advice on which of the tops I should cut? Because by the time the lights get here veg will almost be over. And it will be redundant. I figure the smaller ones won't have time to grow large and big buds but I'm so hesitant on cutting because I don't want to take to much and lower my yield. Last night I did some top snipping I took about four or five off. If you guys could take another look at the picture and kind of help pick which ones I should take off
Hey 302, that's a great job, I'd wait a while before I cut any more, in a week or so you will be able to see the weak ones, cut the ones that are not gonna do anything off then. That's a nice plant.
One thing I’ve learned is patience. I’ve had a weak plant that I was literally going to pull to free up space because it didn’t look like it was going to produce, turn out to be my best. You say you got more lights coming then your flipping to flower? If I were you I’d get the light on them and wait til about 2 weeks in flower, take off whatever is weak then. That should concentrate the growth into flowering of the strong tips you leave.
