Do the fan leafs do anything for the plant after 5 6 weeks flowering

My leafs have developed bad habits!. I told them not to hang out with a bad group but o well.....

The fan leaves absorb CO2, the available light, expire water (providing the force to up take nutrients), and produce sugars for the plant to use in growing and for developing the flowers.
