Leaf curling during LST?

Novice grower here. I decided to play around with LST for the first time on a auto I have going with just a few nodes. When I bent it down gently and secured it within a few minutes the leaves had all curled up and inwards. I immediately removed the binding and about 10 minutes later she uncurled and is back to normal.

Is this something I should expect when starting LST on young plants or did I do something wrong?
 
They usually do it so the leaves are turning towards the light.
it’s pretty normal they will Try to turn so all the leaves is facing the light.
pictures would help a lot
