Leaf cupping/tacoing

I had to start back from seed awhile back and have been having problems with leaf cupping/tacoing it's not heat stress or wind burn I've checked for over watering under watering I repotted some of them and didn't see any signs of root rot I've tried everything I can think of I'm hoping one of ya'll might have some ideals thanks in advance

I haven't seen any bugs ... idk if it could be a light issue or not but I ordered a new bulb.. is it possible I got some bad seeds ... the seeds I bought did it a little bit and I let those plants pollinate so I'd have more seeds and those plants do it also if you flower them out they make it thru the cycle and produce good buds (ultimate purple and talent scouts) but if you try and clone one it just gets worse and those plants die in the floweri cycle I've never seen anything like it

Can you post pictures and describe your grow, specifically your light wattage and distance from the plants and size of tent? Rwise and Bluey are right, what you describe sounds like classic symptoms of too much light.

It won't let me upload any pics but I'm using 400watt metal halide in a room not a tent it's at least 4 feet away from top of canopy and this is the same setup I've used for ten years with no problems

BTW Welcome to GWE!
One must remember, every plant is an individual!
Is it hot when you stick your hand/arm in at the top of the plants? If its uncomfortable for you,

Not at all I have a fan cooling the bulb and hood the room is air conditioned it never gets over 75 at top of canopy I'm thinking the guy that said bad genetics is right that's what I'm thinking I just needed to hear someone else say it ... I just got stuck with some bad seeds

Hello RogueRebel I've just guessed about them but sure seems likely that it's the case for your seeds. PS I'm a Gal all female no pronouns LOL. Old lady outdoor grower for 40+yrs only personel use and i grow for the love of it. I give plants an clones away every season.

Did you say you are using a 10yo setup? How old is your bulb? Can your ballast wear out?

I keep up with how many hours each bulb is used I thought that it could have been cause I tried a generic bulb so I I got me a hortilux bulb but the new seedlings I started are already showing signs of cupping and I've been very careful bout watering I even let some almost dry out same results for all

No problem at all. There's many of us out there just too few growing an showing wish there were more ladies showing off there skills.
