Kryptonite soil?

I'm starting with kryptonite soil and am wondering if I should put any perlite at the bottom of my pot?..I was told just add water

IF the soil does not have perlite add about 1/3 perlite to all the soil. 2 parts soil to 1 part perlite.

always add perlite if not included
it does too many good things to plants ...not too

like avoids root compaction improves drainage
