I will be growing 4 plants on my next grow.. single pot in picture was just for setup/temping & ventilating purposes

It seems to be doing fantastic! I've had it on for the last 9 hours and its only 2 degrees hotter then ambient with no fans blowing on the boards.. temps holding at 79F. I have 180CFM hooked up to my scrubber and exhausted out a window on LOW power.. and if I face my 6 inch at the boards blowing upwards.. pot level temps are around 73-78F... throughout the day I've had to add a humidifier to keep humidity around 52-56% I have lots of snow melting and its VERY humid in my basement.. just about to the point of having a saturated feeling. so I'm running my de humidifier and pellet stove. Without humidifier AH is 30%

I'm an oldschool grower that has used nothing but MH and HPS in soil and dabbled in hydro, so LED's are still VERY VERY new to me. I was reading somewhere ... I can't exactly recall where or what video I was watching on it .. but the person mentioned that when switching over to LED the plants actually like it warmer like around 85'ish ... or is that BS fluff ... should I just maintain the normal 72-78ish temps?

Ok great, well I still have lots of info to jam into my bean pot in the next few days .. to setup for the grow.. will be my first LED grow! So SUPER EXCITED! and thanks for replying back as soon as you did ..

Plenty of us on here willing to help, some of our suggestions ( including mine ) are even right sometimes......lol.

I try and weed through all the here say ... and go with proven results!! and from what I've seen .. there is A LOT of misleading info when it comes to LEDs so its kinda frustrating at times!

Just throwing this out there. Seedlings and vegging plants love high humidity. Wouldn't worry about it till you flip. Heat can get up to 85 and they won't mind a bit.

Cant blame people too much. The science is fairly new and so consensus is a ways away. Plus its constantly changing and getting better which is a good thing.

Sorry, I wasn't meaning weed thru here say on this site... I was talking about sales rep's for bigger manufacturer's and at that level.. lying and hyping numbers.. that just aren't there! to push a product line.. hence starting all the mis-information... leading to botched results....money wasted... etc etc..

Not a bad light, its more efficient than gas discharge at 2.2umols per watt. 600 PPF is roughly half the flux of a 600 watt HPS. So overall should get good results. Over time you might want to add a second fixture to compare with the flux of HID.

Plant temperature is the same under any light source. Research has shown that cannabis is most happy between 75°F to 83°F. If you go above 86°F you start to reduce the plants photosynthetic efficiency. The same thing happens if you go below 75°F.
