Jack Herer Auto x2 Strawberry Banana x2 Gelato x1

I am still growing my 1st grow from unknown seeds, have 4 clones that were given to me, my buddy at work did not know what they are. But since this will be my first grow from genetic seeds, I thought I would start a new Journal to track the progress of these seeds.

2x4x4 - Veg Tent (building a much bigger room under stairs for Veg).

1Gal to start will transplant to 3 or 5 Gal pots

I planted the Strawberry Banana and Gelato 11 days before I got the Jack Herer Auto Seeds with the intention to veg the Strawberry Banana and Gelato for most of the time the Auto's are growing. I originally intended to grow the Photo's as Mother Plants, but instead I am going to grow those and take a few clones to grow the mother's from. I also had a incident with the Photos, I apparently planted 2 seeds of the Strawberry Banana seeds while drinking and smoking in the same root riot. Don't plant when you are not in your right mind. Someone helped me out on the forum and said to break the cube apart and separate the plants. I did that they are growing slowly, but they have lots of time. The Gelato as of today has it's 2nd set of leaves.

I am building a Veg room in my Laundry Room and will have about 25 sq/ft area all enclosed and I am eyeing a much bigger space in the basement to knock a wall out, but for now I will stick with my current project. I have some photos on my other Journal.

I will finish that Journal with the 2 plants and the clones, but just keep this one updated through the grow of the Photo's and Jack's. I was thinking about planting 4 of the 5 seeds I got then looking at space I decided to hold back and just do 2.

This morning, Jack 1 seed looks to be swelling. Seed 2 looks like the tap root is growing but hard to tell. The Strawberry Banana's are still starting slow and the Gelato is doing well. Not much to update today.

This AM, the Jack 1 seed is open and higher in the Root Riot cube, and the Jack 2 seed is cracked and moving up as well overnight. Strawberry Banana seedling 1 is doing well while 2 is not looking good, did not get new pictures of these, but the Gelato is doing very well the 2nd set of leaves are looking great. It is moving along very well. Took a half day off yesterday and mixed Coco for the plants I got two 3 Gallon pots ready for the Jack Herer Autos, I have three 5 Gallon pots full for the 2 x Strawberry Banana and 1 x Gelato plants. I will get some new photos of all that today, after mixing Coco for hours, I laid more tile down in the new veg room I am building. I have some Panda Film on order that will be the next thing after painting the tile white.

Well at lunch the Jack Herer Auto's are coming up! Nothing new on the other 3 just growing slow. One of the Strawberry Banana's might not do well. I will get some photos this evening of the others to add. I have my lights in the flowering tent to go off at 6 before I get home, so at lunch I take care of the flowering tent and then in the evening the Veg room stays on till 12 AM so I have several hours in the evening to play with the little kids. I should be able to lay the remaining floor tiles this evening and hang my LED light. I look forward to taking the small tent out of that area it is hard to get around in but while construction it's nice to cover it and not worry about dust and such getting on plants. I still need to get a door for the room though. But for now just been locking the whole laundry room when not home. That is all good till someone needs to do laundry and I have the only key.

Last night the Jack 2 seed popped up and I knocked the shell off with a tooth pick. The Jack 1 seed looks like it is sprouting, but not up as of this AM.

The Strawberry Banana still in 3" coco pots, one is doing well, one is struggling. These were the 2 seeds I accidentally planted, hopefully they both make it. The Gelato seedling is going great and where I expect it now. These 3 have lots of time while my other 2 flowering plants finish and the 2 Jack Auto's grow. I have all the pots with Coco ready for them the Jack Auto's will be in 3 Gal and the 2 Strawberry Banana and Gelato will go in 5 Gal.

Quick lunch update, got home to water the flower tent and turned off the LED in the veg tent to get some better pictures. The Gelato is doing very well, the one Strawberry Banana is struggling the other seedling looks much better. There is a group shot with 4 other clones in there 2 of which are doing well 2 won't probably make it.

Had a bit of a scare this AM, the one Jack Herer Auto that came up of the 2 looked very sick and was leaning a bit. I gave it a dropper of water and left it alone. At lunch today looked closely at it and saw that it had the skin of the helmet still on. It came off easy and the leaves popped right out and she looks great. Since it has been 6 days and the other seed has not popped, I opened the Root Riot a bit and it is puffed up a bit but doing nothing, I planted another Jack seed.

The Strawberry Banana that has been struggling looked a bit better after 12hr under the CFL's. The other Strawberry Banana has it's 2nd set of leaves and looks good and the Gelato is way a head of the others.

Got a door for the new grow room from a resale shop for 30 and had them throw in a box of quart mason jars that had never been opened. Only drawback is the door is .25" wider than the opening that I made. It will be easy to move the one wall over just a bit. I made everything I constructed to be temporary in case I every had to move or take down the operation. By the end of the weekend, I should have everything done and the new room up and going by the end of this weekend, I will post some more pictures when I have them. I was so tired and soar from ducking under the stairs putting rest of the tile down and hanging the first sheet of Panda Film last night I forgot to take some pictures.

I have also setup a WYSE Camera now on the Jack Herer, I am going to time-lapse the whole grow. If the other seed starts coming up I may restart it so I have seed to harvest time-lapsed.

Sounds like you're having a lot of fun. Once one starts, it's hard to stop growing these plants. Great journal! Good luck growing.

Thanks, I am really having fun. I don't do much other than work, feed family, work, feed family, work, feed family. Now at least I get a few hours of pleasure of tending to my girls every evening and lunch.

I have been sick since Sunday, did not get to spend as much time working with the girls, but I did get all the Panda Film installed, still need to do some taping on the seams and such, but room is working out well. The Gelato plant is doing great getting it's 3rd set of leaves now. The one strawberry Banana is getting 2nd / 3rd set as well. The straggler from when I separated the two seeds is now starting to grow. It was looking like a very sick seedling, yesterday I was not sure if it was going to make it but now looks like it is growing. The Jack Herer seedling is in it's final 3 gallon pot and starting to grow. I have a time lapse camera set on him. The other two seeds still have not popped. Hoping one of them does, not much hope for the one planted on 2/25, but the other should be coming up anytime.

I moved the Jack Herer Auto 3 Gal pot in with the others under the LED light, lets get it started! Have the time-lapse running, i figured out on my WYSE app I can scan through about 8 hr of footage, it was cool to watch it grow a bit, but the real growth was in the 2 clones behind it they are going crazy and could see some of the leave grow more than a inch in a few hours. Anyway, that will be in another post. Eventually I will have some time-lapse videos to post of the Jack grow.

The Gelato is doing very well has it's 3rd set of branches starting, I am debating about bending it down a bit and then top it when it gets to 5 or 6. The Strawberry Banana plant that is well is growing nicely now. The straggler Strawberry Banana seedling showed new growth today and looks like it is going to get growing now.

Everybody seems to be doing well. I have been watching the playback on the WYSE camera and finally last night you can see the Jack Herer really starting to grow. The last few days She just seems to move a bit, but it has been cool seeing the 2 Mandarin Cookie Clones grow like crazy behind it. Neither of the other 2 seeds ever popped. I am going to contact where I got them from.

The Gelato is doing well, I may try to start bending her over today. The one Strawberry Banana that is doing well is doing very well, the Straggler is now really starting to grow. I know I was setting my PH around 6.5 or so and have figured that Coco needs 5.5 to 6.5 so I had been on the high end. Last watering I have them was 5.7 PH.

The roots were coming out of the the 1 gal pot the Gelato was in so I transplanted the Gelato to a 5 gal pot yesterday. This is the start of week 4 of veg. The one strawberry banana is doing well just a bit behind and the one that was straggling along is now growing as well. I have some more coco bricks coming wed and will get ready to get these 2 into their 5 gal pots soon. I am glad I built this bigger space there is no way my 2x4x4 tent would have had space for all these pots.

Checked in on the girls today, they are all looking good, should have 5 more bricks of coco coming today to mix up to get the 2 strawberry banana's into their 5 gallon pot. I raised the light a few inches today. seems like the Gelato and Banana are a bit short, also the new Jack Herer seed I put in the paper towel the yesterday, had a tap rot, i carefully put it in a root riot, and lets see what happens, so far out of 4 seeds 2 have been duds.

Every thing in the veg room is doing great, i started the process of quad-lining the Gelato, I took of the first node and secured the 2nd node down. It did not quite have it's 5th node developed so I did not top it yet, figure I will just work with it as it grows.

I also transplanted the larger Strawberry Banana to it's 5 gallon fabric pot. This evening I am going to move the light over to get more space under it so I can spread the pots out so sides are not touching.

The Jack Auto is doing fine. I don't think I am going to do anything other than lst to this plant. It is in week 3. The other Jack Herer Auto seedling is growing fine and will be ready for its new home soon.

Got to do a lot of gardening last night.

Gelato has been topped and 2nd and 3rd nodes secured down to start it on the Quadlining! She looked good this AM as well I moved the wires out further with the growth overnight.

Strawberry Banana doing good not enough growth on the top to top yet will continue training lower branches till she get's tall enough. The straggler Strawberry Banana is growing great and will need to be transplanted this weekend to her 5 gallon pot. Tonight will mix up some more coco.

Jack Herer Auto is going well and I was debating about weather to top or not I am just going to try to lay her flat and just lst on this one. The other Jack seed is almost ready for her pot as well. So that will get planted this weekend too.

I moved the light over about 8 inches and got the pots so they have a few inches between the pots now. I am getting the suspicion now that I have too many plants going to just move them to my 4x4 flower tent when my 1st grow plants finish. At least I have plans for a bigger flower space but not the funds. I do still have my 2x2x4 tent I bought for veg prior to building the room. I also could just flip this room to flower and mover the HPS light in and fans to this room. Just not sure, but have a few weeks to figure it out.
