I've tried everything. Drooping and slow growth

6 weeks in today
9" tall
growing in half coco/perilite and half soil
600w led in 5x3 tent about 3 feet away now
no exhaust
just switched to 12/12 - 4 days ago
watered ph 6.0 plain water the day I switched
turned a fan on it same day, next morning the fan moved and was blowing directly on it.
that's when the dropping started.
thought maybe it was overwatered but it's been 3 days of drooping and leaves have a yellowish color to them with dark veins.

I have tried to grow 8 plants now.
only 3 successful grows. Only yielded maybe .5 oz each plant.
I keep an eye on the temps, humidity, bugs, ph, all of it. Also just started attempting to plant train and it's just not working for me.

Now I think I have a green thumb. I grow a huge vegetable and flower garden every year that is successful but cannot seem to grow bud to save my life. Tips, advice? Can I get this plant to come back or is she gone?

How big are pots? What kind of soil? Looks to b stretching how far away is light? Are u using any nutes or cal mag? How’s the drainage? PH should b between 6.0 to 6.5 no a steady 6.0 this all helps to answer your questions.lol
 
Hey Potted, thanks for a quick reply. Here's my answers to your questions.

pots are 2 gal.
half soil half coco/perilite
light was about a foot away but moved it couple days ago due to heat in tent being 90*
now light is about 3 feet above
using GH trio and cal mag nutes
Ph steady at 6.0
drainage SEEMS good.

Oz bud, thanks for replying. It is half coco/perilite and half soil. When I repotted I didn't have enough coco. So added soil. Have no clue what brand the coco is.
 
Wanted to add that I seem to only have to water MAYBE once a week. If not less. I use the knuckle method and weight of pot method. Grow tent is about 75* and 45% humidity during the day.
 
She looks stretchy to me and 3 feet seems pretty far my 450 was 22-28” in veg and I’m keeping it at 18” in flower. I’d go closer but I want the larger footprint.
 
Sometimes they get droopy after switching to 12/12 for a week but things should perk back up, they usually do.
They don't get as many hours of light now so perhaps your led could be moved closer.
If you can afford the risk, move her out in the sun for a few hours tomorrow that usually gets things looking up.
Give her a few more weeks and see how she responds, hopefully for the better
 
This probably accounts for the slow growth. Plants in Coco grow slowly when the coco gets dry at all. Coco/perlite really should be kept wet all the time to achieve fastest growth. If it is mixed with >40% perlite, I strongly recommend daily watering. The difference in growth rate is phenomenal. The coco/perlite combination retains sufficient O2 in the root zone even when water is at field capacity (saturated). The knuckle method really is only applicable to soil and will slow plants down significantly in coco.
Now that you have mixed with soil the situation is more complicated. The soil does not hold sufficient O2 when saturated, so if it makes up a substantial portion of your medium then you may be forced to treat it more like soil with regard to watering. In any event, 1/week is inadequate for rapid growth.
I'm still not sure you have mentioned what kind of soil and whether the soil you used is mixed with fertilizers or anything else.
 
Campesino, thanks so much for your input. I had wondered if adding soil to the coco would be a problem but I think I'm gonna steer away from coco which is why I did that. I wanted to try something new (soil) with my bud. Didn't know if using the coco was throwing me off since I'm used to working with soil. I was unaware that you had to keep coco damp. I ALWAYS let it get dry dry before adding water. One plant I did keep saturated did better but it got fungus knats. Seems like I just can't win but then again I know my set up is a cheap half added setup. Thought I could get away with doing that but I'm learning you get what you pay for.

Gnats?? Yuk. They're fairly easy to deal with though. Great article on gwe main site on how to deal with them.
 
Kinda what I was thinking about the growing medium.
I grow in soil, and have a fair amount of coco mixed in, but that sounds like too much coco in the mixture.

If they were I mine, I would probably re-pot to a bigger container of good soil,planted a little bit deeper, and as long as no droop from transplant, slowly start moving that light closer. The fan may have caused a problem to, you can point it at the wall of the grow room so they get a gentler breeze, check out what Nebula says in the tutorials about air flow so you can see how much breeze they want.

Hang in there! And start reading/ re-reading GWE tutorials, that's mostly what I do when I have problems, plus I learn a TON from the forum!
Present issues are learning experiences that will just make you a better grower.
 
GreenhouseEffect, I think I will try that. At this point I'm desperate to save her cause I'm dry till then. Another reason I'm in total panic mode over this. She was growing so well then I switched her to 12/12 did some defoliation and next thing I know she is as sad as can be.

Camk, gonna do a mixture of what you said about a different pot and what GreenhouseEffect said and plant her deeper.

THANK YOU ALL for being so kind and helpful on my plant. I was so frustrated with it I about threw her out and just hope it becomes legal in my state soon. (If that ever happens)
 
Yo Hippie. If you want more than a half oz. You gotta think bigger,Get a bag of good soil, some at least 3 gal. fiber pots,when you have filled the pots pick em up, remember how they feel when dry so you can learn how often to water, transplant with as little of what they're in now as you can, feed with good nutrients at half strength,about a half gal. each, no need to water to run off yet. lower the light, go 24/0 to reveg. wait about 4 days then water with cal-mag. Try to keep p.h. around 5.5-6.5. Now relax and wait for the magic to happen.
 
Aha! Thanks Primo. That sounds so scary but I assume you know what you're doing. I didn't know i could reveg. I thought once they went 12/12 that was that. So no one thinks it's overwatering then? Cause that was what I was thinking initially. Gonna make some changes read in this post and then update in a few days.
 
Yeah, Coco is terrible for growth if it gets dry at all. It is an amazing medium that allows us to do so many things that soil prevents (like daily watering, one day flushing, and very rapid growth). But it requires attention and needs to be kept wet. My Coco never gets even a little bit dry - if it does, I will go to twice daily watering!
 
Hey everyone that helped me...i did exactly what Primo said and replanted her in good soil, gave her half nutes, moved the light down, and put her back in reveg and wouldn't ya know, she is coming back to life!!!
