They are done !! Time to chop them. Finally the end of my second full auto grow.

Shit ton of white hairs non or very few have even started curling yet.... just saying

Finished bud shouldnt have hairs sticking out everywhere, especially white ones. All cannabis basically looks the same when ready. Swollen calyxes and receded pistils. The pistils change color curl in towards plant then calyxes swell and those pistils will recede into them. Not trying to be an asshole I would want someone to tell me if i was harvesting early effecting my hard work effort and money. Imo their close but could go another 2 wks.

Well for me they are done, why am I saying that ? Cuz I've been looking at trichomes every day for more than a week now and I'm seeing more than half of them are cloudy and at least 20% are amber. Most are not drinking much anymore and yes what you see are new white pistils from the "foxtail heads" . Sure I'll keep them for a few more days and maybe just maybe one more week. Some will chop when 80% pistils are red/orange and curly but I'm the old fart who look at trichomes and when there is more than 20% amber I am in the harvest window.

Just look at the last pic and you will see that there are more red and curly than white and strait.
 
If you look closely you'll see the buds are fox tailing and that's the reason for the white hairs. If he waits to harvest much longer there'll be a degradation in bud quality. Farmbuck is one of the most patient and meticulous growers we have on this forum.
 
putting all that time and money into these plants to harvest a couple weeks early. Then to be one of the "best" growers on here putting these plants out for new buddies to see and go off of. Ruining their grows until they finally understand what their looking at years later. Good job again i wasnt trying to start anything, those plants look damn good, just not ready for harvest. Losing weight and potency yall do yall tho I dont know nothing

I'll add as a community if we aren't trying to help everyone grow the best cannabis they are able to. What kind of community is that. That's just a place people go to bs not learn and grow doing something they all enjoy

SoOrbudgal I appreciate you pushing me to say that, awesome job always bringing out the worst in people. Why I was speaking minimally I wasnt trying to start anything or offend anyone. As I know this is not my grow nor my call. However finished bud is finished bud that needs to be known as many other people view these threads not just you and solid members

No offence to you @GroBuddy but what make you decide it is time to harvest your crop ? Is it just by looking at the pistils ? Flowering time recommended by the breeder ? Looking at the trichomes ? Yes I'm fully aware that some girls still have a lot of white hair but the trichomes is telling me otherwise. For me it's the trichomes that dictate when it's near for me to harvest and when I see over 20+% of amber then it is time for me to go ahead. But what works's for me might not work for others. Remember this is my second auto grow so yes I am still learning and I do make mistakes, after all I'm only human !!!

Oh yes there are a lot a variables beside the ones mentioned above.

Strains, auto, photo or regular, indica, sativa and hybrids, indoor outdoor and on and on........ Yep so many factors to when to harvest. But my instinct to is the percentage of amber in the flower.


I invite you to look at my previous photoperiod grows, you will see that I'm a very patient old grower... Not too long ago I grew some Panama Red and it took me almost 6 months.

Yea just look at plant. I used to look at trichomes after so many harvest you start noticing that the plant looks the same. Trichomes really dont matter because when the plant is mature so will they. as mentioned I meant no offense to you, those plants look great. If youd said you knew these plants were a little early that's fine, some people would rather harvest at that time. However how am I supposed to know. All I continually see are non mature plants and I finally thought you may benefit from atleast one person saying something if you thought that plant was fully mature. No harm in that. Personally I dont harvest for effect, I'll grow strain for said effect. ( speedy/couch lock) Being patient has nothing to do with harvesting on time if you think a plant is mature when it's not. I'm off your page bud, this got way out of hand, I apologize.

Yawn... Let me guess. You're going to dry them, grind them, dry sift the grinded them, then put the hash in cure storage? All the while, posting porn? Give us something new, Farmbuck ster. Ever consider a buck-zai?

Smoking your hash has landed on my bucket list. It sounds exotic.
 
Harvest time might just be different for all of us I go by smell no shit so I grow outdoors and there is a time when my buds stink like a 10' ring around them no matter of the wind I wait about 4 days after that and chop I noticed that smell weakens over time with effects i prefer usually when a friend says to me now I can really smell them just saying
