Is topping an option here?

Day 57 0n this purple auto. Photo shows one of the lateral branches - there a bud developing at the top and a couple more at the nodes below. Yeah - a bit stretchy I know! Branch continues to grow vertically.
Could I/should I top this branch - or what?

A bit late I'm afraid, usually autos stop responding training about week 6. They still have a flowering stretch but not like the photos do. Usually try to top about week 4 or 5 when 6 th node shows.

It needs to be a fast growing, healthy auto to get the benefits of LST. I think there are a couple of threads going right now on auto LST.

I would just LST it for now that may help

Here's the same branch on day 66 with the buds developing quite nicely.
How does this pan out? Will the buds grow and kind of merge together to form a big long cola? (I'm a born optimist!)

Maybe some just grow like big or little marbles others depends on the strain an care it could be i big main cola don't know unless you trained it?
