is this Mold?

This is only my third micro-grow with two plants. Just a week more until harvest and was very happy until today. What I thought was frosty trichomes, looks like it may be mold. I am not sure. Can see them in only two main big buds. Rest of them looks ok without any sign of molds or frosty trichomes( so I thought). What do you advise? Shall I give them a quick wash post harvest and then dry it out or throw away the two big buds?

yes, sorry to say that is mold. Personally i wouldnt smoke it.

Interesting that there are no dead sugar leaves in the pre-trimmed pics, but I think white fuzz is the first stage so that might be why. I always give mine a good examination as I trim (move the bud around a little so I can also check the sides pressed against the stem and other nugs) and if I find bud rot I cut it away very generously, sometimes the entire cola to be sure no possibility of any being left. If I find some I chuck the trim as well. I’ve started washing all my bud (the three bucket approach with baking soda and lemon juice) so any leftover spores and other unwanted crud gets washed away and doesn’t end up in my jars causing problems down the line.

thank you. Just finished harvesting. it was there only in one or two spots in about 4 main cola thick buds. I've kept it to dry aside separately and the rest are separate. Didn't notice the mold on other buds thankfully. Do you think I can safely extract shatter out of it if the mold doesn't spread. I have the necessary equipment's including vacuum chamber. have already extract one batch ( although took a hit on yield.).

Looks like mold, start of bud rot. It will only get worse. Do not use what has the mold on it. No cure, except to cut it ant throw away far from plants. If I were you, I would cut and run. Cut out the mold and harvest what is still good.

Cut the bud up - bend the bud in half where the mold is (brown stuff) and cut above and below the mold and throw the brown stuff away.

If you don't cut it up it will just grow.

Exactly what I did, cleaned up the mold as much as possible from the the buds and let it dry separately. I checked today and no growth and all looks ok. i'll post here if anything changes. thanks all!!
