Is this little one too tall for its period?

Hello! Im new on growing and i've got some kind of weird situation. I just want to make clear my situation because my first plants are dead for unknown situation:/

The small one (on the left) germinated 3days ago and we put it in the soil and grow under the light immediately for 12hours cycle. The big one is one week older than the small one.Why is the small one grown tall so fast? They look like almost the same height but as you see count of leaves are different . Will this situation turn into a problem in the future or is this normal to get tall under the light ?

By the way these are different seeds which is come from different sources. They're growing in different type of soils. The smaller one has Biobizz light mix which is more softer then the other.

Hi BillBates. Thanks for your reply. I failed in the first attempt thats why I'm a little worried. Plant sometimes almost falling to the ground. Its looks a little weird to me.Thats all:)

It happens. In my experience, my very limited experience, it happens. The biggest thing to worry about at this stage is overwatering. But the difference you're seeing could be from any or all or any combination of the variants you described. That's the problem with using different soils. I am currently growing 7 different strains (four outdoors & 3 indoors). Being new at this game myself (been growing since Jan) I was unprepared for the different needs & characteristics of the different strains. It's overwhelming & I won't do it this way again. Having said that, they're all in the same soil, so the only thing I have to worry about is the individual strains' needs.

The reason your little one is stretching so much is to get more light. Lower the light and it will stop, for the little one it my need support to keep upright u can cover most of the stem with soil when transplanting.😎

Hey Potted. Thanks for your reply. That was what i think too, i guess light period too much for now. Its just keep going longer. Do you mean covering the body of plant (near to root, not all) when transplanting for standing upright?

Do you think its ok adding soil to stem way right now? Should i wait for transplantation? Leaves are grown a little and body cannot bear of it. Plant no longer stand up whether lights are on or not.

Yes u can add soil now to help support seedling and u can burie most of the stem to help support her when transplant. Lol

Great! I'm going to follow your instructs. There is one more problem with my growing attempt. I had a plan to open a topic but maybe you got a suggestion for it too.

I put the seeds in moist cotton for germination. One of them is germinated but two others have no move. Today is tenth day. I scratched the seeds litlle with a very tiny needle about 4 days ago. But still no progress. Do you have any suggestion for this situation?

I always soak my seeds in room temp water till thay tail (the tap root comes out) and only then do I place tail down in soil 1/2 inch and cover with soil and keep warm and moist. I spray twice a day till thay pop with PHed water 6.5. I’ve never tried cotton tho it sounds interesting. Lol
