The cotyledons are there to feed the seedling while growing root/leaves ect. but if you are supplying nutes then they are not necessary. I leave mine on anyways until I trim them the first time, You will get new growth around where you trim them its normal and you should keep trimming them
I did some major damage to 1 of my wonder woman I broke 1 arm off the manifold. the hole side while training I was so gutted. But she did produce another shoot from the cordial leaf. I felt like it was just a place where she can repear herself after an atack. I only had 1 shoot coming from the broken side. I did cut it off.
I trimmed these after there were already 5 nodes and the started to go yellow. I just didn’t expect new growth as this is not really considered a “real nodeâ€
I have seen this before too! I always find it really cute when a plant grows leaves in new or unexpected places I feel like they try to make extra leaves partly in response to all the defoliation and training we do.
