Is 4 days too long of a dark period

Unfortunately I have to be away from my grow for 80 hours, all my plants are just showing their first amber so I figured I would cut the lights to the tent when I leave and chop the plants when I get back to the house. Will this be too much time in the dark and should I water them before I kill the lights? If necessary I have a friend who can come kill the lights a day after I leave but I would rather do it myself before I take off.

If you're worried about light, why don't you set your timer for just a couple hours a day until you get back? I know the reason is so your medium doesn't dry out, definitely understandable. But yes I would definitely say water before you leave, make sure the pots are nice and heavy. Hope that helps

get a timer and yes water it good before you go. Can you put them where they are exposed to a window? 4 days in the dark will definitely mess them up but unlikely it will kill them if they are healthy.

If you see amber, I would harvest now.

I agree with kingfish, and I would not put wet soil plants in the dark for that long. Dry soil yes but that's what i'd do.

Thanks all. I have decided to cut and hang the 3 most mature and I'm going to water the rest real good and just let the tent run on its 12 12 timer.
