Innie or Outtie? (Ventilation)

Howdy yall, and thanks for this invaluable resource!

I went ahead and followed the guide for the SF2000 buildout that GWE blogged on when making my equipment purchase(s)
My question is - what would be the best ventilation config for this type of build? I currently have my fan/filter on the inside of my tent, but with that AND the light, it feels like a significant portion of vertical real estate is compromised.

Would I be better served moving the bulky filter and fan to the outside of my tent or is this really a non issue and more aesthetics at this point?

I moved mine outside of the tent when I got a second tent and put the fan in a y split to run both. I'm much prefer it outside of the tent, don't know why it was ever in there in the first place, it just added bulk and got in the way

Maybe slightly less noisy inside? ... but I have seen references to some older fans (in cooling PC cases) being better for intake or better for exhaust. Now "hybrid" fans supposedly do either... but why not ask manufacturer, mostly to see if you get a reply because if you don't I wouldn't buy that fan.

fan blowing or sucking really makes no difference except slightly more efficient (minimal) if there is some straight duct ahead of fan . only thing i would caution is to put a dust cover/pre-filter ahead of the fan, maybe on the duct entry, or be aware that the fan can get dusty without the pre-filter on the filter.
