In-ground Greenhouse

I am looking at creating an in-ground greenhouse due to the fact that the area I live has the shortest growing season ever. I would be using this not regular food as well as cannabis and am wondering if anyone out there has tried this and with what degree of success.

I havnt tryed it but iv seen it done a freind used a metal shipping container and barried it 3 feet under ground and it worked out great as long as u set things up properly it would stay cooler but if useing HIDS ull still want an ac and water lines/exhaust and air lines
