I'm new to growing HELP!

So I see you use a different lights for seed. I am planning on starting from seeds as well but I was not aware we need a different light at a lower wattage. Any tips for growing seeds?
 
Yeah I was looking at grow tents and how much people fit in there. I think 4 is perfect 5 is probably crowded. So I'll start with 4. The 1000w lights we are getting are dimmable and we are getting a good deal on them. So we will run those lights at 600w. Alright perfect I think I am about done with having everything I need to buy finally
 
Ok so MF is right he told me to come talk to you about lights and I see in your setup you are the man with answers. I plan on having 4 plants in a 4foot by 4 foot by 6 and a half feet tents. My friend and I have a 3 foot 1000w dimmable lights both sph and mh. I asked another guy about lighting for seedlings and the setup for growing seeds. Do you have any advice for growing seeds and about my lighting set up? I read the article about growing seeds in this site I'm not 100% but I don't think it said anything about the lighting for seeds and how far I keep the light from the seedlings.ive just read so much the past few days I could be forgetting something I read. Either way I appreciate your help
 
Morning IDKN, I ain't the man by no means, but yes KindSoil is simple an awesome stuff all you need is water ,nutrients already in it, all you need is PHwater, an coco on top half of your pot, if not coco then any good potting soil will do.
I always use cfls on my seedlings, but you could dim your thou down real low and that would work fine, just don't put it to close to your seedlings, start around 28-30 inches high, then you can lower it after they get used to the light an growing good. GoodLuck my friend.
 
I think they are 23 watt, they are equal to 100 watts though. Yeah ,but your light will be fine if you dim it down low and keep it a safe distance from your seedlings, your gonna do fine IDKN

Could you send me a link to those lights? So you are saying that I will need a couple of these lights because I will have 4 seeds? Also final question what kind of coco coir soil do use on top?

Sorry one final question. You said do the bottom half of the pot super soil and top half coco. Wont the plant die because it did not get the nutrients it needs if the super soil is under all the coco???
 
Morning IDK, you don't need any cfls, your lights will be fine.
I use coco loco, on top of the KindSoil, it has everything already in it, but you can use any decent potting soil , stuff like FFOF or FFHF, they have nutrients already in it.
