We need help we're just wondering what this could be we don't know if it was nutrients deficiency or over-watering or if we put too much food for the plant first time ever doing this was wondering if someone can help me out I figure out what this is

Iron and sulfur are both immobile nutrients so if they were deficient you would likely see it in the entire planet or the newest growth not just the bottom leaves it is more likely to be a mobile nutrient because the plant would pull it from the bottom leaves to the newest growth . Mobile nutrients are going to be your NPK magnesium nickel and molybdenum. I’m sure there is a few more . Your immobile nutrients are going to be calcium Sulfur boron copper iron manganese and zinc . There is a few more of these as well but those are the main ones . These immobile nutrients if deficient would show in the new leaves more likely than the old leaves or even all of the leaves .

To be honest it looks like a nitrogen deficiency but without more information there’s no way of really knowing with 100% accuracy .

The soil my dad got from home depot an we also mixed in some perlite and I think I've been overwatering it because I've checked the plant and transplanted it to a bigger pot and mixed in perlite again to see if that would help with the roots seems like people been telling me it's root rot cuz my roots were not all white all around my container when I transplanted it it was still Brown and barely any white Roots they were all brown it's my first grow so I didn't think it was going to make it I still have it an my closet room is 90 ish Fahrenheit and at night it goes around 85 it's pretty hot where I live I've been putting two fans in there to cool down the room hope that works just bought them

First thing . You need to lower the temp . 74-86 is ideal 80 is a good place to sit . If you were growing in hydro temps of 90 would be less of an issue . But being in soil you really don’t want this and there is 2 reasons for this

1) photosynthesis takes place best at 74° to 86° When you drop below 74° or above 86° photosynthesis rate drops dramatically which will slow the growth of your plant

2) at 90° Unless you’re using a fairly large pot it’s gonna be hard for your plant to stay cool in the root zone your soils going to heat up and could potential allow things like root rot to flourish . Not only is it going to heat up the soil but now your plant has to put more energy into cooling itself and less energy into growing bigger

As far as watering goes you should only be watering when the soil is dry to the touch when you put your finger about an inch deep into the soil . Assuming that you’re using a pot adequate to the size of your plant when using a large pot you have to really be careful when watering because the soil will hold a lot more water then the plant can use in the period of time that would be considered safe . Allowing the top part of the soil to dry before watering Allows your roots to get oxygen.

You should keep your plant in the solo cup until the leaves grow out past the edges of the cup . Your plant at a young age will have a diameter equivalent to the diameter of the roots . So once your plants leaves are growing out past the cup I would typically transplant into a 3/4 gallon container that’s what I use for my tomatoes (I am not growing marijuana in soil) but 1 gallon is fine half gallon whatever you feel comfortable with but you really don’t want to transplant a bunch of times so going from like a solo cup to 1 gallon pot to a 3 gallon pot or a 5 gallon pot whatever your end pot is going to be would be a good transitional method . I would not advise going from a solo cup to a 5 gallon because then you risk overwatering . But you can and you just have to be careful not to overwater.

I’m just curious when you say dirt from Home Depot what kind of dirt are you talking about . Does this dirt have nutrients in it such as are you miracle grow potting mix or not . Knowing specifically what soil you’re using could potential help determine a cause . You could be using something that is greatly lacking or you could be using something that is potentially dangerous to your plants which could be causing the discoloration of the leaves whether it be a deficiency or something else .

Also dosage of feeding, run off PH ,run off ppm or ec, feeding ppm or ec, How often you’re feeding. This is all information that would be useful . If you are not tracking this information then you need to be so we can help you and you can have a successful grow . Your plant can only handle so much food at a certain size and has an ideal pH range for it To grow . If the PPM / EC is too high this will cause problems for your plant as far as intake of nutrients and water. If your pH is too high or too low this will cause problems for your plant as far as intake of nutrients and water. So this is all important information in order to properly diagnose not only the deficiency or toxicity but also the root of the problem itself . If you are unsure about how to check and track this information then that would be the first thing that would need to be addressed .

Oh ph around 5.5 an I know that I did water my plant every day just a shot glass of water until I was 7 days old I spay only an next day I feed it just water but one hafe of a red cup an ppm was around 700 800 the soil was potting mix an fertilizer and then he just makes the dirt we have at our house with all of the potting soil and the fertilizer and the perlite

If there was time delay fertilizer in the soil you should try to reduce the amount of soil that you transfer during your transplant.

Time delay fertilizer is like a time bomb that will kill your plant around the third week of 12/12.

If it is some other kind of fertilizer, you will have to explain.

Ok some I’m not 100% sure of ideal ppm for growing in soil but I could look it up im sure . But your plants look small I would think they are only a few weeks old. Correct? You need to make sure your ppm is in an ideal range for your young plants . I would consider a marijuana plant to be a seedling until it grows its first set of 5 finger leaves . It’s should be about the 3rd or 4th node . This 5finger node if the sign that your plant has matured and would now be consider the start of veg imo. I would consider your plants to be in early veg and you should be feeding them correctly for that stage of life . 900-1000ppm would be full strength feeding for my hydro.

If your using good soil you shouldn’t need to feed it anything for the first few weeks .

Yeah, hydro can run a lot higher than soil or even coco. 900-1000 ppm would be too high in soil - at any life stage.

The biggest problem here is that there are two plants in one little pot! That and the soil. But then there is still the issue of nutrition and EC.
Cheers

They are small they are only 19 days old An how can I remove the plant with out hurting the roots or killing my plant ill post more pic of how it looks tonight

If you’re not using something with time released nutrients in it I wouldn’t worry about removing it from the soil

DankwingDuck He has to transplant because he has two plants in one pot! They must be separated... or one must die...

LORDWEEDALOT You may not be able to... This is one of the reasons not to start two seeds in one pot - at least one is likely to die. You may decide to sacrifice one to save the other - because if you damage the roots of both neither may make it. If you try to keep both, designate a favorite and give her favoritism during the separation so that at least one is likely to survive.
If you decide to sacrifice the smaller one, just cut it down at the soil line.

Campesino, I know it's not advised, but I've grown 3-4 plants in the same 5 gallon buckets many times outdoors, and they did fine, Took alot more watering, but every one grew awesome bud,
We were not trying to grow pretty plants. We were trying to grow bud, and they did fine.
I've even grown 2 in one 3gallon smartpot, and they grew fine too, I'm sure 1plant might have been a little better, but not by much,I don't think.

Yeah, you might be able to bring them to harvest, but the plants will spend a lot of energy in root-to-root combat and the yield, if you do make it to harvest with both, will suffer.
The container he is in is much smaller than that too!

I'm convinced that you are a master grower... You know how to water in particular, which is tough for noobs. Things like this - and starting in final containers - can be pulled off by master growers... But I don't think its good advice for noobs.
