Got my new seeds in the mail that day yay

wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==
. So excited to grow them all in this summer and it will be special too because the freebies they offered will be my first to grow photoperiods and I'll get to learn all sorts of techniques to apply on them

After receiving and inspecting my new seeds, i went straight ahead to put them in a cup of water for the next 24h in my grow tent where they can be in a dark environment and temperatures between 20c-23c.

My grow view setup. As you all can see, i have no exhaust fan for my carbon filter yet because during my first grow it busted on me when i was on my Christmas vacations for 10 days. It makes a weird scratching noise and i don't feel any air coming out as it used too. Gonna replace it with a new AC Infinity CloudLine T4. Just waiting for the right moment to get it plus i still have to deal and contact Vivosun about my broken exhaust fan and see what they can do for me. Pretty sad the fact that it only lasted on a 3 month of usage

I will soon update another posting for the first week because i already reached week 2 and there's so much updating to do lol. Thank you for everyone for passing by and i hope you all enjoyed reading the beginning of my new journey. Stay safe everyone and happy growing

ilumigrower hello how are you.. welcome I look forward to watching your grow
just out of curiosity tho what country are you from
i feel like theirs an accent in your writing and knowing which one it is would help my reading it.. and don’t feel bothered I do it to everyone if your from the USA I read with an American accent.. British is my favorite Canadian is fun Australian is fun as well further more I like to figure out where everyone’s from to see how similar everyone is it their love for the sticky icky I believe it was bob marley who said peace and love and one blood but I think he meant peace and love through one bud..

Daskahn I believe you know your Marley LOL. I've grown that seedsman Jack Herer and she's a beast of a outdoor plant. We had a grower here just harvest one from indoor grow and she was wild child for him. But boy does she produce at least for me. Be ready to train her low LST she's a stretcher.

Looks real good ilumigrower - your plants are a couple weeks older than your last pics - my guess is they are growing, but not as tall as you'd think they should be right now.

That's cuz they've spent that time growing their roots in that huge pot you have them in. I assume you are using 5 gallon pot cuz you plan to train them?

Hey Daskahn... Good to see you on board 🙂 I'm Portuguese but i was born in Canada and now living in Toronto for the past 10 years. How can you tell by the persons person's accent by writing. I thought that only applied to speech 🤣 but i guess you're right ✌️ i like British and Australian accents 🙃 cheers mate

There are certain subtleties.. but in general people give it away in their writing.. or just out right say where they are from

Good thing i had plans to plant JH outdoors... Not much of a sativa person too since there is a few strains that i like but not much as indicas and hybrids.. What pot size did you used form outdoors? I was thinking like a 10/15gal

Really? How come? I thought 4" is the recommended size for 3x3 tents. My carbon filter is 4" tho. Would it be possible to hook a 6" fan to a 4" carbon filter?

Hey Canuck, good to see you on board 🙂 yea my posts dates don't match with the pictures but everything is according to their dates...im on week #3 now and soon i will update for week#1 and #2... Too much to update everywhere 🤣 p.s yes i am using 5 gal pots because it's the most recommended pot size i see on the Internet for autoflowers

Hey FunkyButtLovin, welcome a board! Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the rest of the journey 🙂 cheers

End of week #1. Not bad right? Compared to my first grow, it was a joke. Using 2.5gal plastic trash bins and making holes at the bottom for drainage just looked straight stupid and ugly plus it was easy to overwater and didn't quite drain well.

During this first week i only gave both of them 250-350ml of distilled water and pH @ 6.2-6.4. For week #2 i will increase the water dosage so that roots can stretch furthermore. Ok folks gotta go and get ready for the next update since that week #2 has already been done. Stay tuned for more. Happy growing yall

Hey, ilumigrower, great pics! Just curious, did you ever get your Infinity fan? I have the t4 in my tent (new for winter grow) and I love that thing. At first I kept going into the grow room to make sure it was still on, it's that quiet, and it does ramp itself up if it gets too hot/humid in the tent. Made a believer out of me. Also, I wouldn't try to adapt a 6 inch to your 4 inch filter; not sure that's recommended or even a good idea! And yeah, the t4. is the right size for your tent, no offense to stump. Mine is 2x4x6, and without the carbon filter the fan sucks in the sides of the tent even set down to 3 or 4. I believe Infinity has upgraded the t4 in the last few years, from 185 cfm to 205, and you know that makes a big difference if you're running a filter. ANYWAY, Happy growing right back, good luck, and we'll be watching!

When I got my filter set up I like to see the tent sucked in so I know air is going in through all the zippers and any openings where the smell could come out, through veg I skip the filter in veg I have an intake fan pushing air into the tent full blast and a smaller fan outtake going out the window, so the tent is like a balloon with positive pressure.... till flower when it really starts to stink

Hey ChefSheri, welcome and thanks for stopping by 🙂. No not yet, still holding on until i actually need it. During veg my temps and humidity are running great so i would rather keep it this way. But for Flower I know it's a different ball game and before that happens I'll have the infinity in my hand ✌️ i just hope it's really that good as people say it is. Cheers mate

Hey Jordan, thanks for stopping by! Yes that's the huge difference that i noticed when the exhaust fan was not working. My tent used to be like that because of the air pressure but in the end nada lol. I have no fan for air in and out right now, But i do have my window net open at the bottom and another small window that's faced in front of me open. For the hot air i have 2 open at the top so hot and old air can get out lol if that makes sense.

UPDATE:

Hi groomies :big-smile: Hope everyone is ok and safe and sound. Time to wrap things up and get to week #2. It's been such a joy to watch them grow and I'm just glad that their healthy although i have a few concerns that i will later make the question in the end of the uploads. For now enjoy everyone and thank you for stopping by again and for new comers welcome :)

That's it folks for week #2. What a great week too. Watching them while they grow healthy

Now the question is: Is it ok to switch from distilled water to tap water? I'm having a hard time getting the 4L distilled water because they all ran out due to coronavirus panic. I know the procedure to fill up a bucket of water and leave it for 24h so that the chlorine vaporize then i fix up the pH then should be ok right?

The thing is that i have ran out and had no choice and had it prepared 2 gallons of tap water and i just watered them half a gallon with pH at 6.4 - 6.5. I would rather them drink something than thirst to death unless i buy the expensive distilled water but i can't do that for long. Plus I'm already doing that for my humidifier so it's not a choice  I just hope they didn't dried for too long since I've never watered the pot fully.

I'll make an update after the watering for any changes. For now they took it nicely :)

Stay safe yall and happy growing

Do you know how to make a filter? Take a two liter bottle poke 5 small holes in the lid screw it on cut bottom off.. turn it over add carbon(charcoal/activated carbon.. then sand.. then straw or grass then small pebbles in even as possible amounts.. run your tap water through this until you get clean water let it empty then refill this water you can use and it should clean out anything from your tap and be good water
