I hang mine (with roots) for 3-5 days until they are crisp on the outside but still moist inside. Then cut the limbs off into a brown paper bag where it may set open or closed as needed (first being closed and checked for moisture). If/when it fells moist open the bag, once stable I move it (without the limbs) to quart jars (not packed) opening them daily (15 minutes) for at least 3 weeks (if it gets moist again you may need to remove it from the jars for a while). Oh ya, nice cool, dark, dry place, my RH is fairly stable at 60%, you need to vary this for your environment.
Edit not more than 1 layer deep in the bag, for large plants I use cardboard boxes /Edit
