SoOrbudgal. I'm a newbie to this growing my own except veggie s . But I take pride in the fact that I can grow plants. Of any kind. It would have bothered me too to see that many plants go to waste. I only grew one plant last year and that was a lot of work. I can't stand to waste my plants Wether it be a tomato, cucumber or any other plant. I hope that this year will be better for your friends.
Hmmm. Same age, same club.... that’s just remarkable... membership requirements must be crazy, literally.... i keep telling friends, when I grow up, I want to...’_____’
So I must tell you. That two years ago a greed one plant. And it wasn't very good. .I didn't cure it right either. So last year I grew another plant from a seed that was in my son's stash. And I followed the trimming and curing very closely..He said it was good but not like the original. It wasn't harsh though. And this plant...I fertilizer with Miracle grow. Several times throughout the season. It produces a lot of nice Buds. I did flush it alot the last two weeks before harvest with just lots of plain water. I even tasted the stems of the fan leaves to see if they were bitter. They weren't. So this thing about all theses FF fertilizers is such a hassle. And they aren't that cheap. This year my plants arent as tall as I think they should be...they haven't started to bud out either. But they aren't auto flowering. Anyway just wanted to mention that 😊😉ðŸ˜
GardenLady this was my first time using “supersoil†and 5 gallon smart pots. I don’t know what makes them smart, they’re just heavy woven fabric. The simplicity with which the watering routine occurs has been enlightening. It’s just plain pH’d water... no mixing anything and the results are a.) spectacular and b.) organic, no flushing required. Using Natures Living Soil and while its not inexpensive, it’s not out of reach but that is a decision you need to make. Weighing out differences and benefits and the fact that I did not worry about any deficiencies, I can only say...I don t think I’d go any other way going forward. I’ve used hydroponics, FF soils, coco coir and the super soil. This has been just too perfect watching them go through all of the stages from seedlings to flower and doing nothing but watering. Just spreading the word. I knew nothing about this 7 months ago
Yes, Amazon....that 5 lb bag goes a long way.... you can make your own but need to let it “cook†for about 60-90 days in advance. I rarely have enough forethought to know I need it then so....Amazon
So Farmall. This Nature's living soil...do you use it as is or add it to some plain soil. It is a little pricey. So that add it to other dirt would make it go farther.
