How do you clean a hydroponic bucket during flowering?

I have never had to but the plan was to lift the top (Plant and all) and replace with a new clean bucket. Flushing can also help. Is there a reason you need to clean it now?

Whenever I clean my hydro systems out I put my girls in an extra 5 gallon bucket until I'm done. Basically just set them off to the side but make sure the roots are protected and won't get damaged. You can even put some of your old nutrient water in there if you think it may take a while. Then you should be able to clean without worrying too much. Unless you're like me and have dogs that love to eat the fan leaves when I trim, have to watch them whenever I have my ladies within reach.
I have 2 plants growing in 2 5gal buckets dwc hydro. I have 2 extra 5gal buckets that I get my water and nutrients together in. I simply take the lid off of my old reservoir plant basket air hose and stone and all and put it on the new 5gal bucket. That way I can make sure my reservoir can get cleaned out good and give them time to air out from the diluted bleach solution I use to clean them. It saves time and keeps the roots from getting damaged or dried out. I also use orca microbes in my reservoir to keep down any algae growth in between reservoir changes.
