I'm trying to find out if hydroguard will stop root rot from starting when water temperature's reach 80-85 degree in a RDWC system ?

Hydroguard has worked for me very consistently to get rid of root rot in DWC, even up to 85°F. I highly recommend it! Another very important thing is to have a lot of bubbles in the water, and to avoid disturbing the roots. What air pump are you using and how big is your body of water? When you say RDWC, do you mean you have a bunch connected to one main reservoir? Is it happening to one plant, or many of them?

I'm using 18 gallon totes with a 27 gallon reservoir. I have a 250 gph water pump for the return line and a 58 watt, pressure 0.028 MPa , output 0.075m3/minute air pump . I also have a 20w , pressure >0.02 MPa ,output 45L/min air pump. I have a 1/4 HP water chiller but I want to help a friend and set a system up for him minus the chiller if I can without causing root rot?

Excuse me , I didn't add it's a (4) 18 gallon tote system

Yes, usually when you use Hydroguard you don't need a water chiller.
