Hydro to soil clone

So I’m pretty sure I know the answer but figured I’d ask any way
so if a plant is grown hydroponically can clones of it be put into soil
my general method of cloning is after I add the cloning powder or gel I put into water but I don’t have enough buckets for clones and was thinking dirt

Yes you can. With clones it shouldn't matter what the medium is of the mother. You're essentially starting a new plant and should be fine whichever way you go with it as long as it develops roots. I've done clones in a hydro setup from a mother in soil with no issues, pretty sure it would be the same the other way around. Hope that helps.
