Hydro and Soil

I am going to start my little girls today. My plan is to germinate 5 White Widow X Auto's. My question is, I plan on growing 3 in 5gal DWC, and 2 in soil in the same tent. Is it ok to have soil and hydro together and also what would you recommend as far the soil grown ones. Size of permanent resting place and what type. Any idea's would be a great help.....They are all going to be in their own grow bucket.....

Hi WSA

Did you know coconut coir is a form of hydro grow. I haven't done my coco grow yet but I know hydro in a tub is fast. I'd say do it and worse case would be the tubs beat out the Coco-perlite and in the 12/12 first by a week or two. you just get to harvest as they become ready.

You really need a new pipe. LOL

it is certainly okay to grow two kinds of mediums in same tent.....

I suggest 5 gal. fabric pots for the two....right from the beginning.....(I never transplant....never saw the need)...get some root riot plugs and rinse them with ph 6 water and good to go....just put right in final pot...(I just posted a new thread showing this exact thing)

The root riot plugs are they the same a rapid rooters?

Thank you Green. I am on my way to the Hydro store in a few......Can't wait to get freakin things going. I have a good set up for my first 4x8 tent, 2 600 vivosun lights , exhaust, plus 2 fans.....
