Humidity/Temp

Just started the germination process 2 days ago and I finally see the taproot breaking out of the seed. I wanted to test the temp and humidity in my tent before it’s time to put it in the tent.

Tent: Quictent 2x2x5

Light: HLG 100 v2 3000k

Fan/Filter: flower carbon filter with ac infinity fans. I infinity fan for the carbon filter and one for passive intake [Flower Carbon Filters](https://www.flowerfilters.co/product/flower-carbon-filter/)

Clip Fan: 6 in clip on fan (which is blowing right underneath the fan)

My humidity level is 40 and temp is 82-86F. Should I get another mini clip on fan or a dehumidifier?

Do not get a dehumidifier. If anything get a humidifier that has a humidistat to control humidity. 40 RH is good for late flower, but little sprouts like it humid.
For young sprouts your temp is high and humidity is low. For older more developed plants, this would probably be ok.

Those are good numbers for mj.... I use a humidity dome until they get goin... A plastic pop bottle cut off works well. Keeps seed moist and helps it shed the seed helmet. Good growing!!

I would be fine with that environment- LED's perform better at slightly higher temps (low 80's) and 40%rh- will carry you through the entire grow.

I have done grows keeping the RH ideal and attaining proper VPD and had really nice looking plants- the product was not any better in quantity or quality.

Once the seedling has roots- it will get the water/nutrients it needs.

I don’t think RH will improve the final product in a sprout. Lol
I do know for a fact sprouts like a higher RH than 40. What I am discussing is the success to failure ratios. You will be more successful and see less failure when RH is higher for saplings.
if you plant 100 seeds, you will lose more sprouts at 40% than you will at 60%. That’s all I am saying.
