Humidity in Hydro

I've been thinking about how it might affect a plant in veg to have ~35% humidity.Since it's in hydro it gets the roots watered so it wont be thirsty..What bad could it do? With a temp of 28C

It's not ideal but it works. Your plants will transpire more but that's no biggie...

Heres a VPD (vapor pressure deficit) chart if you've never seen it before. Ideal is the orange boxes.

Hard to catch you Nartak I'll post here for you

Saw your pictures in your profile ...Is that coconut coir? I don't like the way the water can be seen in a pic, it needs perlite mixed with the coconut coir. That is my 5 day old.

I'm growing in 35% humidity now and it's working when they get bigger they will make humidity. You just need to fine tune your set up and don't worry until you have to!

With the light not hot on the babies get it as close as possible. and hopefully they will take off on you!

Hard to catch you Nartak I'll post here for you - Is that coconut coir?

haha yeah i know!
It's clay pebbles Karlee i noticed yours are rounder and a lighter shade, mine have a ceramic color to them and some have a grey inner layer, not so round, create a nice bouncy water flow to the tank!

I don't like the way the water can be seen in a pic
what do you mean by that?

I started a sepparate thread about humidity because the guide is brilliant, but i've seen 99% of people having 25-35% through the whole crop on forums and say it has been fine...So i wouldn't want my journal to be flooded by humidity opinions and experiences, sorry if i create too many threads,i can sum them all up ,create new collages and post a journal properly...

These pictures look to wet and the right one looks like rot? The perlite mixed in will break up the Coconut Coir so it doesn't water log a plant.

Oh i see,no thats not my growing medium, thats the cubes they germed in!Im using clay pebbles for a medium not coco/soil! It's not rot on the right,it is the stem and the cotyledons caught in the skin of the seed,it didn't open all the way for a couple hours..

Okay cool. This morning in my basement was 59 degrees and the (tent 77) humidity 32% LOL all I can do is hope tomorrow is better you have to use what you have to grow and make it work. I'll be watching your progress

it';s hard to comment on your pics without looking as I type did you try using the sq box to upload pics? you can upload more then one using the command key? just saying it's hard to comment and not see the pic LOL
